The college offers a Diploma in Engineering. It was established in 15 June 1961 as a Govt. Sponsored Polytechnic and later became a Government Polytechnic. It is affiliated to the West Bengal State Council of Technical and Vocational Education and Skill Development, [1] and recognised by All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi.[ citation needed ]
