Jimme Nordkamp (born 22 September 1996) is a Dutch politician of the Labour Party (PvdA).
Nordkamp was born in 1996 in Oldenzaal, Overijssel, and he grew up in the village of Overdinkel. [1] [2] His father worked as a plasterer and gardener. [2] Nordkamp studied business administration at the Saxion University of Applied Sciences in Enschede between 2016 and 2021, and he was a board member fo the FNV Jong trade union between 2019 and 2021. [1] [2]
He voted for the right-wing populist Party for Freedom (PVV) in the 2017 general election. In an interview, he mentioned the party was popular in his village, and he said the Labour Party's loss triggered him to look into social democracy. He switched to that party, believing rural decline would be better addressed by its policies. [1] Nordkamp served on the Municipal Council of Losser as the Labour Party's parliamentary leader from 2018 until 2022, when he became an alderman responsible for housing and refugees. He has simultaneously been serving on the Labour Party's national board since 2020. [2] He was elected to the House of Representatives in the 2023 Dutch general election, and he serves as his party's spokesperson for defense. [3] [4]
Nordkamp is a fan of the Dutch pirate music genre, and he helped get the tradition on the national register for intangible cultural heritage. [2]

The Party for the Animals is a political party in the Netherlands. Among its main goals are animal rights and animal welfare. The PvdD was founded in 2002 as a single-issue party for animal rights, opposing animal cruelty and the treatment of animals in agriculture. The party then developed into a left-wing, ecological party.

GroenLinks–PvdA, alternatively PvdA–GroenLinks, or GreenLeft–Labour in English, is an alliance between GroenLinks (GL) and the Labour Party (PvdA) in the Netherlands. The political alliance was founded at the national level by party leaders Lilianne Ploumen and Jesse Klaver during the 2021–2022 Dutch cabinet formation, whereas local alliances between the two parties had already been formed in prior years. The two parties formed a joint parliamentary group in the Provincial Council of Zeeland in 29 March 2023, then formed a joint group in the Senate following the 2023 Dutch Senate election, and formed a joint group in the House of Representatives on 27 October 2023.
