Juan Arambula is a former California State Assemblyman. He represented the 31st district. Arambula was elected to the Assembly in 2004. While Arambula had announced that he would retire in 2008, he ran again that year and won his final term. He was a Democrat until June 2009, when he became an independent. He was term limited in 2010.

Before a vote for expulsion was to be taken by the State Senate due to the released findings of an investigation that determined he likely engaged in a pattern of unwanted advances and sexually suggestive behavior toward six women, including four subordinates, over the last decade, Mendoza resigned on February 22, 2018.
