The Joy-Nostalg Center (styled Joy~Nostalg Center), [5] is a mixed-use office and serviced apartment in Ortigas Center, Pasig, Philippines. It houses the headquarters of local and multinational companies while the five-star serviced apartment is operated by AccorHotels, formerly Oakwood Premier. The building is developed and owned by Quantuvis Resources Corporation.

Architecture

The Joy-Nostalg Center was conceptualized and master-planned by Architects Esteban Y. Tan and Gavino L. Tan Partners, while interior design specifics were designed conceptually by Lee Designs (the Interior Design firm of C.Y. Lee & Partners) and executed by Leandro V. Locsin & Partners with the hotel/serviced apartments guided by Oakwood Technical Group from Singapore. [6] The façade and interior design concepts were made in collaboration with the Taiwan-based architectural group of C.Y. Lee & Partners, responsible for the concept behind the former tallest building in the world, the Taipei 101. [5] [6]

The Joy-Nostalg Center is a 40-storey mixed use building, with 16 floors of office space, 23 floors of apartment space, and 6 basement parking levels.

Construction

The excavation works for the building started in December 2006, and structural works started by June 2007. The building was topped off on 20 November 2008, and was completed by the 3rd quarter of 2009. The building, together with its main tenant, the Oakwood Premier, had its soft launching on 1 August 2009, and was formally opened on 9 September 2009. [6]

The Lopez Center is a proposed building that will rise at a one-hectare area at JP Rizal, Rockwell Center, Makati. It was launched in 2008 as a mixed-use building that has 50 floors. It would be the future headquarters of several companies owned by the Lopez family. The tower is named after Manolo Lopez, the owner and developer of the Rockwell Center. It is expected to be the tallest building in the Philippines once completed. It is designed after the new One World Trade Center in New York City. One of its earlier designs included a crown on top but it was later changed to a new and better design. It was supposed to begin construction in 2007 but was delayed. The office space is planned to be operational in 2011.

Partnership (OCLP), one of the oldest real estate developers in the Philippines. It will be a mixed use building, the upper half will accommodate a 5-star luxury hotel, and the lower half will be for office units.

The building has 38 levels above ground, and 7 basement levels. It will be a mixed-use building, both office and residential. Orient Square Building is currently one of the modern landmarks in Ortigas Center because of its architectural design and its one-of-a-kind curtain wall that glitters at night from the lights inside the building because of its transparency. The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) declared it an Information Technology Building in January 2006.
