Justs Sirmais (born 6 February 1995), also known as simply Justs, is a Latvian singer and television presenter. He represented Latvia in the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 with the song "Heartbeat".
Justs was born on 6 February 1995 in Ķekava. He attended Riga State Gymnasium No.1. [1] He began his musical journey as a street musician in Riga.
On 31 January 2016, Justs was announced as one of the 20 competing acts in the second season of Supernova , the show used to select Latvia's representative to the Eurovision Song Contest. [2] [3] He was competing with the song "Heartbeat", written by Latvia's 2015 entrant Aminata Savadogo. In the first heat on 7 February, Sirmais advanced to the semi-final after winning over 40% of the televote. [4] He competed in the semi-final on 21 February and advanced to the final through televoting. [5] On 28 February, he won the national final and then represented Latvia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2016 in Stockholm, Sweden. [6] He made it through the semi-final and placed 15th in the final. Justs earned his country's sixth best placing ever. [7] On 17 May 2016 he released the EP To Be Heard. [8] On 23 May 2016 he released the single "Ko Tu Dari?" (English: "What Are You Doing"). [9]
In January 2018, it was announced that he would co-host Supernova 2018. [10] In April 2018, Justs released his debut studio album, Here I Am.
In September 2018, Sirmais announced on Instagram that he would be studying Music Production at university in Bristol, United Kingdom. [11]
In November 2020, Sirmais participated in the first season of Balss Maskā as the cute "Sparrow" and placed 3rd.
He entered Supernova again in 2023 to attempt to represent Latvia with the song 'Strangers', but he was eliminated in the semi-final.
On 20 November 2024, it was announced that Sirmais was selected as a semi-finalist in Supernova 2025 with the song "Fit Right." [12]

Latvia has participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 24 times since making its debut at the contest in 2000, where the song "My Star" performed by the group Brainstorm finished third. Latvia won the contest in 2002, with the song "I Wanna" by Marie N, defeating Malta by 12 points. Latvia is the second former Soviet country to win the contest. The 2003 contest was held in the Latvian capital Riga. The country achieved its third top 10 result in 2005, when "The War Is Not Over" by Walters and Kazha finished fifth. The Latvian participant broadcaster in the contest is Latvijas Televīzija (LTV), which select its entrant since 2015 with the national selection Supernova.

Cyprus participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 with the song "One Thing I Should Have Done" written by Mike Connaris and Giannis Karagiannis and performed by Karagiannis. The Cypriot broadcaster Cyprus Broadcasting Corporation (CyBC) returned to the Eurovision Song Contest after a one-year absence following their withdrawal in 2014 due to financial and budget restrictions, and organised the national final Eurovision Song Project in order to select the Cypriot entry for the 2015 contest in Vienna, Austria. The Sammarinese national broadcaster Radiotelevisione della Repubblica di San Marino (SMRTV) internally selected Turkish singer Serhat with "I Didn't Know" to represent the nation in the contest. The song was written by Olcayto Ahmet Tuğsuz and Nektarios Tyrakis and was presented to the public on 9 March 2016 alongside its music video. While initially a ballad version had been selected, SMRTV subsequently opted to use the disco version of the song for the contest based on feedback from the public. To promote the entry, Serhat embarked on a promotional tour across Europe in the lead up the Eurovision Song Contest. San Marino performed eighth in the first semi-final, held on 10 May 2016, and placed 12th with 68 points, failing to qualify for the final.

Triana Park is a Latvian group founded in 2008 consisting of lead vocalist and founder Agnese Rakovska, guitarist Artūrs Strautiņš, drummer Edgars Viļums and bassist Kristaps Ērglis. Their style combines pop and electronic with hints of hip-hop and rock.
