KA Bunga Mas Enam (BM6) is a container freighter purchased by the Royal Malaysian Navy and converted into an auxiliary ship. She is the second ship after KA Bunga Mas Lima (BM5). [1] [2]
Like her sister ship Bunga Mas Lima, Bunga Mas Enam was also a 699 TEUs container vessel where she is the second-listed Malaysian trading vessel that has been renovated and equipped with security equipment and weapons in order to protect and accompany MISC ships carrying national interests in the Gulf of Aden waters and surrounding waters. The renovation work was carried out by MMHE (a subsidiary of MISC) at its shipyard in Pasir Gudang, Johor. [3] Bunga Mas Enam also patrols the Malaysian exclusive economic zone especially in Sabah to ensure the peace in Malaysia water. [4]

HMAS Ardent was an Attack-class patrol boat of the Royal Australian Navy (RAN). She was built by Evans Deakin and Company, and was commissioned into the RAN in 1968. Ardent was decommissioned in 1994, then assigned as a navigation training vessel. At the end of 1998, she was removed from service. Initially marked for preservation at the Darwin Military Museum, the vessel was sold into civilian service in 2001 after the Northern Territory government declined. In 2002, the patrol boat was acquired by the Indonesian Navy, and commissioned as KRI Tenggiri (865) in 2003.
HMS Echo was the first of two multi-role hydrographic survey ships commissioned by the Royal Navy. With her sister ship, HMS Enterprise, they formed the Echo class of survey vessels. The Pasukan Khas Laut, commonly abbreviated to PASKAL, is the principal special operations force of the Royal Malaysian Navy.
The disappearance on 8 March 2014 of Malaysia Airlines Flight 370, a scheduled international passenger flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport, prompted a large, multinational search in Asia and the southern Indian Ocean that became the most expensive search in aviation history. Analysis of communications between the aircraft and Inmarsat by multiple agencies has concluded that the flight ended in the southern Indian Ocean.
Operation Dawn 8: Gulf of Aden was a naval operation carried out by the Royal Malaysian Navy against pirates in the Indian Ocean on 20 January 2011. In response to the hijacking of MV Bunga Laurel, the Malaysian Shipborne Protection Team deployed an attack helicopter and 14 members of the naval counter-terrorism group PASKAL in two rigid-hulled inflatable boats to retake the vessel and rescue the crew. After one night of trailing the tanker, the Malaysian forces successfully retook the ship by force on 20 January 2011, resulting in the wounding of three and the capture of four out of 18 pirates, and all 23 vessel crewmembers rescued.
