Anshu Gupta is an Indian entrepreneur. He founded the non-governmental organization Goonj. Goonj works on bridging urban and rural inequality. It does this by channelizing the urban surplus to initiate rural upliftment, disaster relief, and rehabilitation. Through Goonj, Anshu is building a parallel trash-based economy by creating barter between rural communities and urban surplus material. Anshu has been recognized by the Ramon Magsaysay foundation for his "creative vision in transforming the culture of giving in India".

Jose Vasquez Aguilar is the first Filipino recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award and also the first awardee of the said award for Government Service. He is also a recipient in the government service category of the said award which he shared with Chintaman Deshmukh in 1959. He is also recognized as the Father of the Community School Movement in the Philippines, pioneering reforms to ensure that community life is integrated in the education system. His community school model banks on the partnership between teachers, parents, and community with the goal of ensuring a practical education using the vernacular as a medium of instruction.

Khun Nilawan Pintong was a Thai feminist whose efforts toward the development of women's rights in Thailand earned her the title Steel Lotus Blossom. She is best known as the founder of the Ounakorn Center and Satree Sarn Magazine, Thailand's first women's magazine which aimed to inspire women to have active participation in community affairs. In 1961, she is also the first Thai recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award for Public Service. The award was given for her role in giving "Thai women a new and creative role in nation-building." The award included $10,000, a gold medal and a certificate given to her and the other recipients.

Vientiane Rescue is a volunteer-run rescue service in Vientiane, Laos. Responding to over 5,760 road accidents annually, Vientiane Rescue is the largest such service in the country. It is made up of over 200 volunteers, eight ambulances, a fire-fighting unit, a scuba rescue team as well as hydraulic rescue and excavation teams.

Ravi Kannan RRM is an Indian surgical oncologist, based in Assam, India. He is the Director of Cachar Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (CCHRC), Silchar, a nonprofit hospital, that provides free cancer treatment. He is the former Head of Department of surgical oncology at Adyar Cancer Institute in Chennai. He is a recipient of Padma Shri, one of India's highest civilian honours, and the Ramon Magsaysay Award, the highest award in Asia.

Kim Jong-ki is a South Korean businessman and anti-youth violence advocate. Kim established the Foundation for Preventing Youth Violence (FPYV) after his son committed suicide due to school bullying. The FPYV raises awareness on the issue of school bullying and creates programs for youth development. In 2004, the organization lobbied for a legislation to prevent school violence. He is a recipient of Ramon Magsaysay Award in 2019 for his advocacy for the youth.
