Krapivinsky District (Russian : Крапи́винский райо́н) is an administrative district (raion), one of the nineteen in Kemerovo Oblast, Russia. [1] As a municipal division, it is incorporated as Krapivinsky Municipal District. [3] It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 6,900 square kilometers (2,700 sq mi). [4] Its administrative center is the urban locality (an urban-type settlement) of Krapivinsky. [1] Population: 24,533 (2010 Census); [5] 27,658 (2002 Census); [8] 31,357 (1989 Census). [9] The population of the administrative center accounts for 30.4% of the district's total population. [5]
