Lake Manawa State Park is located in Council Bluffs, Iowa. It is based around Lake Manawa, a man-made lake created to relieve water from the Missouri River and is located in southwest Council Bluffs.
The campground provides space for 72 camping units, and 37 of these spaces are equipped with electrical hookups. There are facilities for modern showers and restrooms at the campground in addition to a trailer dump station. Half of the units are reserved, the other half are open on a first-serve basis. [1]
The lake offers boating options to motors of any size. Ramps are located on all sides of the lake with the exception of the east side. Rented paddle boats and canoes are available at the beach area. Boating access is also possible for the Missouri River.
Fishing is another popular activity at Lake Manawa. Crappies, bluegills, and catfish are among the common fish caught.
The lake offers a beach for swimmers and sunbathers that also offers refreshments.
A paved trail through nature offers trail-goers the opportunity to walk or ride along the shore line. The Manawa trail connects to the Western Trails Center, Council Bluffs trail system, and the Wabash Trace trail.
The park offers several locations for family picnics, parties and outdoor events. There are open picnic shelters around the lake and may be reserved online. There is a shelter that provides kitchen facilities.
William O'Brien State Park is a 1,520-acre (6.2 km2) state park of Minnesota, USA, along the St. Croix River. Its hiking trails traverse rolling glacial moraine, riparian zones, restored oak savanna, wooded areas and bogs. It is a popular place for birdwatching, picnics, camping, cross-country skiing, canoeing, fishing, and other typical outdoor recreational activities.
Mark Twain Lake is a reservoir located in Ralls and Monroe Counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. It was created by the Clarence Cannon Dam impounding the Salt River and is located about 20 miles (32 km) southwest of Hannibal. The lake was named for Missouri author Mark Twain and part of the area around it is Mark Twain State Park. The village of Florida, the birthplace of Mark Twain, is mostly surrounded by the lake.
Onaway State Park is a public recreation area covering 158 acres (64 ha) on the southeast shore of Black Lake in North Allis Township, Presque Isle County, Michigan. The state parks sits at the end of M-211 five miles north of Onaway. It contains sand and cobblestone beaches, large rock outcroppings, a campground, and nature trail highlighting a diversity of trees. The park was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2009.
Peninsula State Park is a 3,776-acre (1,528 ha) Wisconsin state park with eight miles (13 km) of Green Bay shoreline in Door County. Peninsula is the third largest state park in Wisconsin and is visited by an estimated one million visitors annually.

Meadow Lake Provincial Park is a northern boreal forest provincial recreational park along the Waterhen and Cold Rivers in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan. The park was founded on 10 March 1959, is the largest provincial park in Saskatchewan, and encompasses over 25 lakes in an area of 1,600 km2 (620 sq mi). The park was named Meadow Lake after the city of Meadow Lake and Meadow Lake. The city and the lake are not in the park and are located about 40 kilometres (25 mi) south-east of the nearest park entrance, which is about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) north of Dorintosh. The length of the park stretches about 113 kilometres (70 mi) from Cold Lake on the Saskatchewan / Alberta border in the west to the eastern shore of Waterhen Lake in the east.

Lake Bardwell is a lake in Ellis County, Texas. The lake was constructed by the United States Army Corps of Engineers in 1965. Lake Bardwell is not used for military operations, and is accessible to the public for recreational purposes; it has seven facilities, but the state public ramp is closed.

Lacey-Keosauqua State Park is located southwest of Keosauqua, Iowa, United States. The park is located along the Des Moines River in Van Buren County. First dedicated in 1921, it is the largest state park in size in Iowa. In 1990, three areas were named nationally recognized historic districts and listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Stillwater State Park is a state park located on Lake Groton in Groton, Vermont. The park is located in Groton State Forest close to the Groton Nature Center, Boulder Beach State Park and Big Deer State Park. The park offers camping, picnicking, and access to water-related activities on Lake Groton. The park was developed in the 1930s by crews of the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). It is open to the public between Memorial Day weekend and Columbus Day weekend; fees are charged for day use and camping.
Lake Icaria is a reservoir located 4 miles north of Corning, Iowa in Adams County along Iowa Highway 148. It was built as part of the Watershed Protection and Flood Prevention Act and was completed in 1978. It is fed by Walters Creek in its northwest corner with its dam located on the west side on the lake. Its dam is 1,300 feet long and 56.5 feet high.
Lake Macbride State Park is a 2,180-acre (880 ha) state park in Johnson County, Iowa, United States, located near the city of Solon. The park is composed of two units centered on the 900-acre (360 ha) Lake Macbride. Both the park and the lake are named for Iowa conservationist Thomas Huston Macbride.
