As of the census [5] of 2000, there were 333 people, 134 households, and 101 families residing in the town. The population density was 847.9 inhabitants per square mile (327.4/km2). There were 189 housing units at an average density of 481.2 per square mile (185.8/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 90.99% White, 0.60% African American, 0.30% Native American, 0.30% Asian, 0.30% Pacific Islander, 7.51% from other races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 31.83% of the population.
There were 134 households, out of which 26.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 65.7% were married couples living together, 6.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.9% were non-families. 23.1% of all households were made up of individuals, and 14.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.49 and the average family size was 2.90.
