Langhko Township or Langkho Township is a township of Langhko District in the Shan State of Burma.
Most of the area is characterized by the forest-covered mountains of the Shan Hills which reach a height of 2,129 m (6,985 ft) at Loi Lan, a mountain rising at the southern end of the administrative area. [1]
The capital town is Langkho (Langhkö), located in the northern part. [2] The township borders with Mae Hong Son Province of Thailand in the south. [3]
Shan State, commonly known by its native name Muang Tai, as well as Shanland is a state of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar. Shan State borders China (Yunnan) to the north, Laos to the east, and Thailand to the south, and five administrative divisions of Burma (Myanmar) in the west. The largest of the 14 administrative divisions by land area, Shan State covers 155,800 km2, almost a quarter of the total area of Burma. The state gets its name from Burmese name for the Tai people: "Shan people". The Shan constitute the majority among several ethnic groups that inhabit the area. Shanland is largely rural, with only three cities of significant size: Lashio, Kengtung, and the capital, Taunggyi. Taunggyi is 150.7 km northeast of the nation's capital Naypyitaw.
Mawkmai is a town and capital of Mawkmai Township in Loilem District, Shan State, Burma. Mawkmai is connected by road to Loimut in the west and Langkho in the north-east which connects with the National Road 45. It was the historical capital of former Mawkmai State.

The Mong Tai Army, was an insurgent group consisting of soldiers from the Shan minority in Myanmar, founded in 1985 by Khun Sa. It had up to 20,000 armed troops at its peak, and was one of the largest forces opposing the government of Myanmar at its time. It was also involved in drug trafficking in Southeast Asia.

Hkamti Township or Khamti Township is a township in Hkamti District in the Sagaing Region of Burma (Myanmar). The principal town is Hkamti. As of 2014 the township had a population of 47,658 people and covered an area of 8,174 square kilometres (3,156 sq mi). The township is dominated by the Chindwin River and its tributaries and thickly forested areas. Nearly half the active working population are employed in agriculture, forestry or fishing. The township is a producer of rice, and has reserves of gold and jade being mined.
