Laura Osorio Hoyos (born 1995) is a Colombian model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Mundo Colombia 2018. She represented Colombia at Miss World 2018. [1]

Miss Mundo Colombia or Miss World Colombia is a national Beauty pageant that selects Colombia's representative to the Miss World pageant. On occasion, when the winner does not qualify for either contest, a runner-up is sent.

Miss World 2018, the 68th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 8 December 2018 at the Sanya City Arena in Sanya, China. Manushi Chhillar of India crowned her successor Vanessa Ponce of Mexico at the end of the event. She is the first Mexican woman to win Miss World. 118 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown.

Early life

Osorio was born and raised in Medellín. She is an Engineering Student of the School of Engineering of Antioquia.

Osorio representing Medellín was crowned the new queen by her predecessor Miss Mundo Colombia 2017 Maria Daza. Twenty eight contestants from all over Colombia competed for the national title. As Miss Mundo Colombia, she had the right to represent Colombia in the Miss World 2018 in Sanya, China. [2]
