The Lawrence County Courthouse is an historic, American courthouse building that is located in New Castle, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.

History and architectural features

The original building was built between 1850 and 1855, and is a two-story, six-bay by three-bay Greek Revival-style structure. It features a portico with six Ionic order columns and a cupola. Major additions to the original structure were built between 1885 and 1886, in 1914 (extended in 1939), and between 1943 and 1944. A small addition to connect the 1885-1886 and 1914-1939 additions was built in 1947. [2]

It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1978. [1]

The Stone Jail Building and Row House are two adjacent stone buildings located on Water Street in Tonopah, Nevada. The jail was built in 1903 and the adjacent row house in 1908. Both building were at one time used as a brothel. The buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

Lunenburg Courthouse Historic District is a historic courthouse building and national historic district located at the village of Lunenberg, Lunenburg County, Virginia. The courthouse was built in 1827, and is a two-story, three bay, brick temple-form building fronted by a tetrastyle Roman Doric order portico. It is six bays deep with two of the bays added in an expansion in 1939. Associated with the courthouse was a large, hipped-roofed frame house which was once an inn known as the Lunenburg State Inn.
