The Eyre Peninsula is a triangular peninsula in South Australia. It is bounded on the east by Spencer Gulf, the west by the Great Australian Bight, and the north by the Gawler Ranges.
Kimba is a rural service town on the Eyre Highway at the top of Eyre Peninsula in the Australian state of South Australia. At the 2016 census, Kimba had a population of 629 and it has an annual rainfall of 348 millimetres (13.7 in). There is an 8-metre (26 ft) tall statue of a galah beside the highway, marking halfway between the east and west coasts of Australia. The Gawler Ranges are north of the highway near the town.
Cowell is a coastal town on Franklin Harbor on the eastern side of the Eyre Peninsula, in South Australia on the Lincoln Highway 111 km south of the major town of Whyalla. It is 493 km by road from Adelaide.
Wind power became a significant energy source within South Australia over the first two decades of the 21st century. In 2015, there was an installed capacity of 1,475 MW, which accounted for 34% of electricity production in the state. This accounted for 35% of Australia's installed wind power capacity.</ref> In 2021, there was an installed capacity of 2052.95 MW, which accounted for 42.1% of the electricity production in the state in 2020.
Lake Bonney Wind Farm, in South Australia, was built in three stages. Stage 1 comprises 46 turbines each having a rated capacity of 1.75 MW and was finished in March 2005. Construction of Stage 2 began in November 2006 and was finished around April 2008. Stage 2 comprises 53 turbines of 3 MW. Stage 3 comprises 13 turbines of 3 MW of total 39 MW). Stage 3 construction commenced in February 2009 and was commissioned in September 2009.
Ungarra is a small agricultural based town located on the Eyre Peninsula, in the Australian state of South Australia about 248 kilometres (154 mi) from the state's capital, Adelaide and around 80 kilometres (50 mi) north of Port Lincoln. At the 2006 census, Ungarra had a population of 241.
Nullarbor is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located 295 kilometres (183 mi) to the west of the town of Ceduna in the western part of the state immediately adjoining the border with Western Australia.
Penong is a town and locality on the Nullarbor Plain, in the far west of the state of South Australia located about 616 kilometres (383 mi) north-west of the state capital of Adelaide. With no settlements between it and Border Village on the border with Western Australia, 400 km (250 mi) away on the Eyre Highway, it is a popular rest-stop for travellers.

Cultana is a locality on the northeastern part of Eyre Peninsula in South Australia. It is much larger than the original locality, and includes the Australian Army's Cultana Training Area. It includes the former Baxter Detention Centre which operated from 2002 to 2007. It spans the Lincoln Highway and Iron Knob to Whyalla Road, as well as being bordered by the Eyre Highway east of Iron Knob.
Mullaquana is a suburb in the Australian state of South Australia located immediately adjoining the southern side of the city of Whyalla in the north east corner of Eyre Peninsula. The locality is bounded by Lincoln Highway to its northern side, the suburb of Whyalla to the east and by and the Spencer Gulf coastline to the south east.

Lincoln National Park is a locality located on the Jussieu Peninsula at the southern tip of the Eyre Peninsula in the Australian state of South Australia about 250 kilometres west of the state capital of Adelaide and about 13 kilometres south of the city of Port Lincoln.
The Hornsdale Wind Farm is an electricity generator in the locality of Hornsdale in the south-west of the Narien Range, north of Jamestown, South Australia. It consists of 99 wind turbines with a generation capacity of 315 megawatts (422,000 hp). The plant is owned and operated by Neoen, a French renewable energy company.
The Lincoln Gap Wind Farm is a wind farm under construction in the vicinity of Lincoln Gap on northeastern Eyre Peninsula in South Australia, Australia. It is proposed to consist of 59 wind turbines and generate a total of 212 MW of electricity. Construction began in late 2017 and was initially expected to be commissioned in late 2018. Construction was delayed in July 2018 when unexploded ordnance was discovered on the site, left from historic military testing. The site is not far from the Cultana Training Area.

Barna is a locality in the Australian state of South Australia located on the Eyre Peninsula about 266 kilometres (165 mi) north-west of the state capital of Adelaide and about 23 kilometres (14 mi) east of the municipal seat in Kimba.
