Katie Anne Noonan is an Australian singer and songwriter. In addition to a successful solo career encompassing opera, jazz, pop, rock and dance, she was the singer in the band George and remains the singer in the band Elixir; performs with her mother Maggie Noonan; and plays with her band The Captains. Noonan was the musical director of and performed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games' opening and closing ceremonies.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Jonathan Little (composer)</span> Australian composer

Jonathan David Little FCLM, FISM, FRSA is an Australian contemporary classical composer, arts educator and author on cultural history based in the UK and Australia. In 2008, his first CD was voted one of the top recordings of the year by US Fanfare magazine. He was subsequently featured in a news article in Musical Opinion in early 2009. As a composer, he first came to prominence in America in 2006 when The American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) ran an article on him having five of his works accepted for recording (2004–07) by the US-headquartered French contemporary music label ERM, aimed at showcasing international contemporary composers. He was awarded the Collard Fellowship of the Worshipful Company of Musicians in 2011, and in 2012 was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. He was appointed inaugural Professor of Composition and Music History at the University of Chichester in 2017, and Emeritus Professor from 2019.

George Herbert Fryer was an English pianist, teacher and composer.

Shortis and Simpson are an Australian entertainment and political satire duo composed of John Damien Shortis and Moya Simpson. They are singers, composers, political satirists and cabaret artists as well as producers and writers of wide-ranging performance genres. John Shortis is a satirist, singer, songwriter, composer, social historian, and political commentator. Moya Simpson is a singer and actor, and choir director. She immigrated to Australia in 1978. Their work includes, Under the influence which was a music theatre production in 2023.

Louis Isidore Lavater was an Australian composer and author born in Victoria, of Swiss-Swedish extraction.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Joe Slater (composer)</span> Australian composer

John Joseph Slater was an Australian composer of popular and light classical works. He operated a music publishing company in Leichardt and blended his product with sheet music from other sources in Haymarket, Sydney. He wrote under several alias names and is commonly known as Felix Le Roy. Slater was active in variety theatre, particularly the company of Harry Rickards

Stephen Moreno was an Australian classical music composer. He was born in Spain. where he became a novice monk in the Benedictine order. He was ordained in New Norcia, Western Australia. He was a prolific and respected artist.

Charles Sandys Stuart Shipley Packer (1810–1883), commonly referred to as Charles S. Packer, was an Australian classical music composer, born in Reading, Berkshire, England. He was a graduate of The Royal Academy of Music in London. Packer was convicted of embezzlement and sentenced to penal transportation to Tasmania in 1839 on the ship Mangles. On release, he became a successful teacher and performer In 1863, he was convicted of bigamy and sentenced to five years' imprisonment in Darlinghurst Gaol with hard labour.

David Graham Miller is an Australian collaborative pianist. Along with Geoffrey Collins he was nominated for the 1990 ARIA Award for Best Classical Album for their album Flute Australia Volume 2 (2MBS-FM). He performed on the first full recording of Boojum by Peter and Martin Wesley-Smith with Sydney Philharmonia motet choir. With baritone Michael Halliwell, Miller released Soldier, Soldier: The Barrack-Room Ballads Of Rudyard Kipling. In 2013, Miller recorded Echo: the songs of Horace Keats for ABC Classics with soprano Wendy Dixon, baritone John Pringle and violinist Marina Marsden, performing the songs of the Australian composer Horace Keats. He continues to regularly record for Wirripang Records and perform with Charisma and Grevillea ensembles.

Rosalie (Ros) Edith Bandt is an Australian composer, sound artist, academic and performer.
