The Central Rada of Ukraine, also called the Central Council, was the All-Ukrainian council that united deputies of soldiers, workers, and peasants deputies as well as few members of political, public, cultural and professional organizations of the Ukrainian People's Republic. After the All-Ukrainian National Congress, the Council became the revolutionary parliament in the interbellum lasting until the Ukrainian-Soviet War. Unlike many other councils in the Russian Republic, bolshevization of this council failed completely, prompting the Bolsheviks in Ukraine to relocate to Kharkov.
Yakiv Mykhailovych Yatsynevych was a prominent Ukrainian composer, conductor, and folklorist, known for his eclectic works.
Oleksander Petrovych Ohloblyn was a Ukrainian politician and historian who served as mayor of Kyiv while it was under the occupation of Nazi Germany in 1941. He was one of the most important Ukrainian émigré historians of the Cold War era.
Kyiv National Ivan Karpovych Karpenko-Karyi Theatre, Cinema and Television University is the national university specializing exclusively in performing arts and located in Kyiv, Ukraine. It is a multidisciplinary institution that includes a department of theatrical arts and the Institute of Screen Arts. Kobzars and bandurists were a unique class of musicians in Ukraine, who travelled between towns and sang dumas, a meditative poem-song. Kobzars were usually blind, and required the completion of a three-year apprenticeship in specialized Kobzar guilds, in order to be officially recognized as such. In 1932, on the order of Stalin, the Soviet authorities called on all Ukrainian Kobzars to attend a congress in Kharkiv. Those that arrived were taken outside the city and were all put to death.

Ukrainian avant-garde is the avant-garde movement in Ukrainian art from the end of 1890s to the middle of the 1930s along with associated artists in sculpture, painting, literature, cinema, theater, stage design, graphics, music, and architecture. Some well-known Ukrainian avant-garde artists include: Kazimir Malevich, Alexander Archipenko, Vladimir Tatlin, Sonia Delaunay, Vasyl Yermylov, Alexander Bogomazov, Aleksandra Ekster, David Burliuk, Vadym Meller, and Anatol Petrytsky. All were closely connected to the Ukrainian cities of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Lviv, and Odesa by either birth, education, language, national traditions or identity. Since it originated when Ukraine was part of the Russian Empire, Ukrainian avant-garde has been commonly lumped by critics into the Russian avant-garde movement.
Dmytro Pavlovych Pylchykov was a Ukrainian pan-slavist, civic and cultural activist, teacher, and a member of the Ukrainian National Revival society known as the Brotherhood of Saints Cyril and Methodius.
The Mykola Lysenko Music Competition, named after Mykola Lysenko, was founded in 1962 by the Ukrainian composers Andriy Shtoharenko, Yevhen Stankovych, Myroslav Skoryk, Levko Kolodub, the singer Yelyzaveta Chavdar, pianists Yevhen Rzhanov and the composer's granddaughter Ariadna Lysenko. In 1992, on the 150th anniversary of Lysenko's birth, it acquired international status.

Due to the current Russo-Ukrainian War Donetsk Oblast is, since 5 March 2015, assigned as a civil–military administration. Hence the governor of Donetsk Oblast is officially called Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Civil Administration.
Non-commercial NT-Art Gallery was opened by Anatoliy Dymchuk in Odesa on December 20, 2007, based on the collection of more than 3,000 paintings, drawings, sculptures, photographs and installations from the 1950s to the present day. Diversity is the key theme of the collection. It includes several collections within the collection.
