The 2004 NBA playoffs was the postseason tournament of the National Basketball Association's 2003–04 season. The tournament concluded with the Eastern Conference champion Detroit Pistons defeating the Western Conference champion Los Angeles Lakers four games to one in the NBA Finals. Chauncey Billups was named NBA Finals MVP.

Tavares Montgomery Williams is an American professional basketball coach, executive, and former player of the National Basketball Association (NBA) who is the head coach of the TMI Episcopal’s boys basketball team. He previously served as the head coach of the Detroit Pistons. Williams played for five NBA teams during a playing career that spanned from 1994 to 2003. His NBA coaching career has included stints as an assistant coach, associate head coach, and head coach.

The 2010–11 NBA season was the 65th season of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 2011 NBA All-Star Game was played on February 20, 2011, at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Chicago's Derrick Rose was named the 2010–11 NBA MVP.

Tom Penn is an American sports executive who is the chief executive officer of Major League Soccer club San Diego FC. He is a co-founder of the Sports Leadership Institute and a former National Basketball Association (NBA) executive and ESPN analyst. Penn co-founded Major League Soccer expansion team Los Angeles FC in 2014, and served as president and co-owner before stepping down from the position in 2020.

Elfrid Payton Jr. is an American professional basketball player for the New Orleans Pelicans of the National Basketball Association. He played college basketball at University of Louisiana at Lafayette, where in 2014 he won the Lefty Driesell Award as the National College Defensive Player of the Year. Payton was drafted with the 10th overall pick in the 2014 NBA draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, but was then traded to the Orlando Magic.

The 2012 NBA Summer League was a pro basketball league run by the NBA just after the 2012 NBA draft. It took place in Orlando, Florida from July 9 to 13 and in Las Vegas, Nevada from July 13 to 22, 2012. Damian Lillard and Josh Selby won the MVP honors.

The Memphis Grizzlies are a professional basketball team based in Memphis, Tennessee.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">2022 NBA draft</span> 76th edition of the draft

The 2022 NBA draft, the 76th edition of the National Basketball Association's annual draft, was held on June 23, 2022, at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The 2022 edition marked a return to the draft's normal June date after postponements were made in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This draft was the first of at least three straight NBA drafts that consisted of only 58 picks instead of the typical 60 due to the loss of a second-round pick for both the Milwaukee Bucks and the Miami Heat for violating the NBA's tampering rules during free agency. The first pick was made by the Orlando Magic, who selected Paolo Banchero from Duke. Banchero went on to win Rookie of the Year.

Sachin Gupta is an American professional basketball executive who currently serves as the executive vice president of basketball operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The 2022 NBA Summer League, also branded as the NBA 2K23 Summer League 2022, was an off-season competition held by the National Basketball Association (NBA) primarily at the Thomas and Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas, Nevada on the campus of University of Nevada, Las Vegas from July 7 to 17, 2022. The summer league consisted of the California Classic, Salt Lake City Summer League, and the Las Vegas NBA Summer League.
