The abbreviation S.A. or SA designates a type of limited company in certain countries, most of which have a Romance language as their official language and operate a derivative of the 1804, Napoleonic, civil law. Originally, shareholders could be anonymous and collect dividends by surrendering coupons attached to their share certificates. Dividends were paid to whomever held the certificate. Since share certificates could be transferred privately, corporate management would not necessarily know who owned its shares – nor did anyone but the holders.

Within the first two weeks of its opening, over a thousand people signed up for their banking services. The bank marketed itself as being Hong Kong's first virtual bank and publicised that customers could use it to do 24-hour online banking. MEVAS Bank's targeted clientele was young professionals.

The Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited formerly known as the Seng Heng Bank Limited established in 2009, is the third largest locally incorporated bank in Macau, China. In August 2007, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) acquired a 79.9 percent share in the bank, which became a subsidiary of ICBC. In July 2009, the merger was finalized and renamed ICBC (Macau) as such all branches of Seng Heng Bank are now re-branded as ICBC (Macau).

It now has 8 subbranches in Macau offering retail banking products and services, a Commercial Banking Division and a China Enterprise Division offering commercial banking products and services. It was originated from the Bank of Canton (Macau Branch) which was established in 1936.
