Historical equipment

Ships

32 meter ship built by United Kingdom. A total of 16 ships were transferred from Royal Malaysian Navy. All retired from MMEA's service. Some of the ships were sunk as artificial reefs. [32]

A total of 9 PX Wooden Hull of Royal Malaysia Police transferred to MMEA. All retired from MMEA's service. Some of the ships were sunk as artificial reefs.

The class comprises six 45-metre (148 ft) vessels built by the Malaysian company Destini Berhad, based on Germany's Fassmer design. The class is also known as the New Generation Patrol Craft (NGPC) and the class named after the first ship of the class, KM Bagan Datuk.

<i>Tun Fatimah</i>-class offshore patrol vessel

The Tun Fatimah class is a series of offshore patrol vessels (OPVs) built by the Malaysian company THHE-Destini with the assistance of Damen company from the Netherlands based on the design of the Damen 1800-class OPV vessel. THHE-Destini is a joint venture between two local company which is THHE and the Bagan Datuk-class patrol vessel builder, Destini Berhad. The class is also known as the Damen 1800-class offshore patrol vessel and the class changed names after the first ship of the class, KM Tun Fatimah. A total of three ships of this class are planned to be built.

Destini Berhad is a Malaysian company that is involved in heavy industry, defence and oil and gas. This company was formed in 1991 under the name of Satang Jaya Sdn Bhd. At the beginning, this company involved in the business as a supplier of aviation tools and spare parts from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) to Malaysian government especially for Malaysian Armed Forces. The company first time entry into Bursa Malaysia in December 2005 and in September 2011, Satang Jaya Sdn Bhd changed its name to Destini Berhad as a part of company expansions. Destiny Berhad consist of six divisions which is M Rails Technics, System Enhancement Resources & Technologies, Destini Prima, Destini Avia Technique, Destini Armada and Destini Oil Services.

Next-Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel program

The Next-Generation Offshore Patrol Vessel (OPV) program consists of a planned 12 OPV-type patrol vessels to be operated by the Japan Maritime Self-Defense Force (JMSDF).
