238Two variants were purchased, the BTR-3E1 Infantry Fighting Vehicle, and a specifically designed tank destroyer variant of the BTR-3, the BTR-3RK. The BTR-3RK is equipped with a special combat module that features 4 × RK-2S anti-tank guided missiles and a coaxial KT-7.62mm machine gun. A BTR-3E with a Cockerill CSE 90LP was also tested but not adopted. [46]

The Royal Thai Marine Corps or RTMC are the marines of the Royal Thai Navy. The Royal Thai Marine Corps was founded in 1932, when the first battalion was formed with the assistance of the United States Marine Corps. It was expanded to a regiment in 1940 and was in action against communist guerrillas throughout the 1950s and 1960s. During the 1960s the United States Marine Corps assisted in its expansion into a brigade. The Royal Thai Marine Corps saw action on the Malaysian border in the 1970s, and has now been increased to four brigades.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Vehicle registration plates of Thailand</span> Thailand vehicle license plates

Thailand's vehicle registration plates are issued by the Department of Land Transport (DLT) of the Ministry of Transport. They must be displayed on all motorized road vehicles, as required by the Motor Vehicle Act, B.E. 2522 and the Land Transport Act, B.E. 2522. The plates vary in design, colors and dimensions according to the type of vehicle, but usually display a registration number and the vehicle's province of registration. Specifications are given in Ministry of Transport regulations. Current style started in 1975 for most vehicle types, but with small changes in 1997, and 1997 for motorcycles.

Driving licence in Thailand is a document that allows the holder to drive on any roads in the Kingdom of Thailand. The minimum age to drive a motor vehicle is 18, and to drive a motorcycle is 15. Driving licence is issued and administered by the Department of Land Transport, Ministry of Transport and its branches, land transport offices across Thailand.

"Royal Guards March" is the march of the King's Guard of Thailand. The music was originally composed by King Bhumibol Adulyadej in 1948 called "Ratchawanlop". The lyrics were later composed by Major General Sipho Thasanut and were edited by Phra Chenduriyang. Bhumibol gave the lyricised song the name "March Ratchawanlop" in 1952.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">1st Infantry Regiment (Thailand)</span> Military unit

The 1st Infantry Regiment, King's Close Bodyguard is a King's Guard regiment under the 1st Division, King's Guard of the Royal Thai Army. The regiment is divided into three battalions, all of them based in Bangkok. The regiment is the only unit of the Royal Thai Armed Forces with the designation Mahat Lek Rajawallop ; meaning the king's close bodyguards, translated as the King's Own Bodyguards. The unit was first established by King Chulalongkorn in 1859, whilst he was still a young prince. One of the primary role of the regiment is to provide security and protection to members of the Thai royal family as well as the ceremonial escort and guarding of the royal palaces. The unit is the oldest regiment of the Thai army.

The 11th Infantry Regiment, King's Close Bodyguard is a King's Guard regiment under the 1st Division, King's Guard of the Royal Thai Army. Formerly having a duty to guard the palace in the reign of King Mongkut to practice military subjects in order to perform effective and set up a Royal Palace Guard Regiment or the army surrounded the palace with the blue uniform is likely to come from the color of Krom Wang uniforms. The reign of King Chulalongkorn please King Vajiravudh, when he was the Siamese Crown Prince as a special colonel of the regiment which makes the unit have a bond with King Vajiravudh. Later, when King Vajiravudh ascended the throne he was accepted as a special commander of the Regiment which His Majesty's color is blue.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Sineenat</span> Thai Royal Noble Consort and 5th wife of King Vajiralongkorn

Niramon Ounprom is an army officer, member of the Thai royal court, and a former Thai nurse. She was named concubine and a long-time mistress of Crown Prince Vajiralongkorn of Thailand, who granted her several military ranks and positions, including the noble name of Sineenat Wongvajirapakdi. After Prince Vajiralongkorn ascended the throne as King Rama X, he appointed her as his Royal Noble Consort, giving her the noble title of Chao Khun PhraSineenat Bilaskalayani in July 2019. She is the first woman to hold the title of a royal concubine of the King of Thailand in almost a century as the previous monarch was monogamous.

The Seri Manangkhasila Party was a short-lived pro-military political party in Thailand. It was founded on 29 September 1955 by Field Marshal Plaek Phibunsongkhram.

Subdivisions of the Royal Thai Army' are a military formation and administrative division of the Royal Thai Army. Thailand is divided into four army areas. An army area may have its satellite corp as a supporting unit. Each area consists of many army districts, each of which covers one or few provinces and supervises many military units. Each army district and army area has a multitude of roles, including supervising all military units, including ones from other branches of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, recruit new members of the armed forces and work with local and central government.
