The first ever Test match hosted in this ground was held in 2010, between Pakistan and South Africa. [2] The first One Day International was played in 2009 between Pakistan and Australia. [3] The first Twenty20 International was played in 2009 between against Pakistan and Australia. [4]

Proteas batsman Graeme Smith became the first player to score a Test century at the ground when he made 100 against Pakistan in the maiden Test match at the ground. [2] The highest Test score of the ground was scored by Pakistani opener Azhar Ali, when he scored 302 runs against Windies in 2016. [5] Up to 2018, 30 Test centuries have been scored in this ground.

The ground has witnessed 17 ODI centuries until 2019. The first of these was made by the Proteas Hashim Amla in 2010 against Pakistan with unbeaten 119 runs. [6] Bangladeshi batsman Mushfiqur Rahim scored the highest ODI score at the venue of 144 against Sri Lanka in 2018. [7]

A Twenty20 International century is yet to score in the ground. The highest T20I score at the ground is 84 runs scored by Sri Lankan Kusal Perera against Pakistan in 2013. [8]

United Arab Emirates national cricket team

The United Arab Emirates national cricket team is the team that represents the United Arab Emirates in international cricket. They are governed by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) which became an Affiliate Member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in 1989 and an Associate Member the following year. Since 2005, the ICC's headquarters have been located in Dubai.

Mohammad Hafeez Pakistani cricketer

Mohammad Hafeez is a Pakistani international cricketer. Hafeez is a versatile batsman who can play anywhere in the top 6 and forms part of the bowling attack. He once used to be widely regarded as one of the best white-ball all-rounders in the world, having been ranked as the top all-rounder by the ICC Player Rankings in the limited overs formats on a few occasions. He is known for his intelligent batting but also for aggressive shot plays when needed. He retired from Test Cricket in December 2018, departing the ground for the final time in white clothing to a guard of honour from his teammates.

Jinnah Stadium, Sialkot Cricket stadium in Sialkot

Jinnah Stadium in Sialkot is one of the oldest cricket grounds in Pakistan. This stadium was constructed in 1920 by the British. In the 1950s it was named Jinnah Park. In 1979 it was upgraded and renamed Jinnah Stadium. It was initially named Connelly Park by the British and after independence, it was renamed as Jinnah Park. It is the home ground of Sialkot Stallions.

Dr. Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy International Cricket Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, India with a lush green outfield. It is primarily used for Cricket.

Haris Sohail is a Pakistani cricketer born in Sialkot, Pakistan. He is a left-handed batsman who bowls left-arm orthodox. He has represented Sialkot Stallions, Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited cricket team, Sialkot cricket team and Peshawar Zalmi. He currently plays for Lahore Qalandars in the Pakistan Super League. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in July 2013. In August 2018, he was one of thirty-three players to be awarded a central contract for the 2018–19 season by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).

Sadeera Samarawickrama is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who represents the national team in all formats of the game. He was part of Sri Lanka's squad for the 2014 ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He is a past pupil of St. Josephs College, Colombo.

The Sri Lanka cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates in September and October 2017 to play two Tests, five One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 International (T20I) matches against the Pakistan cricket team. It included the first Tests that Sarfaraz Ahmed of Pakistan captained following the retirement of Misbah-ul-Haq. The tour also featured a T20I match in Pakistan, the first time that Sri Lanka had visited the country since 2009.

Abid Ali (cricketer) Pakistani cricketer

Abid Ali is a Pakistani cricketer. He made his List A debut in 2005 and first-class cricket debut in 2007. He made his international debut for the Pakistan cricket team in March 2019. Prior to his international debut, he had scored 6,700 runs in more than 100 first-class matches and made 3,000 runs in List A cricket. He is the first male cricketer to score a century on both Test and One Day International (ODI) debut.
