This is a list of mosques in Tunisia . According to the data by the Ministry of Religious Affairs in December 2015, there are 5,470 mosques in Tunisia as a whole, among which 4,299 are Jami Masjids which conduct Friday Prayer and 1,171 are smaller mosques. [1] The city of Sfax has highest number of mosques, with 418 Jama Masjids and 88 smaller mosques. [2] The city of Djerba contains 380 mosques, among which 20 are underground mosques. [3]

The al-Buraq Mosque is a subterranean musalla next to the Buraq Wall, near the southwest corner of the Masjid al-Aqsa compound in the Old City of Jerusalem. This mosque is called al-Buraq Mosque because of a ring that is nailed to its wall where Muslims believe Muhammad tied the Buraq that carried him from the al-Haram Mosque to the al-Aqsa Mosque during the Night Journey.
Jamek Mosque, officially Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak rivers and may be accessed via Jalan Tun Perak. The mosque was designed by British architect and soldier Arthur Benison Hubback, and built in 1909. It was the principal mosque of Kuala Lumpur until the construction of the national mosque Masjid Negara in 1965.

It is located in al-Maidan Square opposite the Ministry of Defense and an old Citadel between al-Ahmadiyya Mosque and the Uzbek Mosque. The mosque dates back to the early Ottoman period. The minaret of the mosque is believed by some to be the most beautiful minaret in Baghdad.
