This list of newspapers in Spain includes daily, weekly Spanish newspapers issued in Spain. In 1950 the number of daily newspapers in circulation in Spain was 104; by 1965 this figure had fallen to 87. [1] In 1984, in the period following the transition to democracy, the number of daily newspapers had risen to 115. [2] Since then, however, the advent of new media has been accompanied by a decline both in newspaper circulation figures overall and in the number of titles published, the years 2008 to 2012 seeing the closure of 31 titles. [3]

Melilla is an autonomous city of Spain in North Africa. It lies on the eastern side of the Cape Three Forks, bordering Morocco and facing the Mediterranean Sea. It has an area of 12.3 km2 (4.7 sq mi). It was part of the Province of Málaga until 14 March 1995, when the Statute of Autonomy of Melilla was passed.

Melilla Airport is an airport located in Melilla, an exclave of Spain in Africa. The airport is located about 4 km (2.5 mi) southwest of the city, near the border with Morocco. Between 1931 and 1967 Melilla was served by the Tauima Aerodrome, even when Morocco had gained its independence in 1956. This Spanish controlled airport did not open until 1969. It has the capacity to move up to 500,000 passengers and the annual average number of passengers is around 400,000.

El Periódico de Catalunya, also simply known as El Periódico, is a morning daily newspaper based in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain.

The 2011–12 Copa del Rey was the 110th staging of the Copa del Rey. The competition began on 31 August 2011 and ended on 25 May 2012 with the final, which was held at the Vicente Calderón Stadium in Madrid. Entering the competition, the winners were assured of a place in the group stage of the 2012–13 UEFA Europa League. Real Madrid were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Barcelona in the quarter-finals, who went on to win the title.

El Comercio is a daily newspaper in Spain. Published in Gijón, it is the second-largest newspaper by circulation in Asturias, with a daily circulation of 24,000.

The 1999 Vuelta a Andalucía was the 45th edition of the Vuelta a Andalucía cycle race and was held on 14 February to 18 February 1999. The race started in Almeria and finished in Granada. The race was won by Javier Pascual Rodríguez.
