The number of national daily newspapers in Greece was 68 in 1950 and it increased to 156 in 1965. [1]

Contents

Mid through the Greek financial crisis in 2016, on a national level there were 15 daily general interest, 11 daily sports, 4 daily business, 10 weekly and 16 Sunday newspapers in circulation. [2]

On a local level, almost all regions of Greece have a printed newspaper.

The Agia Sophia Stadium, also known as OPAP Arena for sponsorship reasons and as AEK Arena for UEFA competitions, is the home stadium of AEK Athens. With an all-seater capacity of 32,500 it is the third largest football stadium overall in Greece. It is located in Nea Filadelfeia, a northwestern suburb of Athens, Greece. The new arena was built on the site of the former Nikos Goumas Stadium. The construction of the arena was completed in October 2022. Agia Sophia Stadium is the newest stadium built in Greece.

<i>Nea Estia</i> Greek literary magazine

Nea Estia is a Greek literary magazine which has been circulating since 1927. It was founded by Konstantinos Sarandopoulos with the international writer and publisher Gregorios Xenopoulos and is the longest-running literary magazine in Greece. Its director since 2012 is the writer and university professor Nikos Karapidakis and the publishing company is Nea Estia Booksellers, I.D. Kollarios & Co., which has been administered by its owner, the writer Eva Karaitidi, since 1998.
