The number of national daily newspapers in Hungary was 21 in 1950 and it increased to 40 in 1965. [1] In 1986 the Press Act became effective, regulating the newspaper market in the country. [2] Following the collapse of the communist regime the act was revised in January 1990. [2]

The politics of Hungary takes place in a framework of a parliamentary representative democratic republic. The prime minister is the head of government of a pluriform multi-party system, while the president is the head of state and holds a largely ceremonial position.
Nógrád is a county of Hungary. It sits on the northern edge of Hungary and borders Slovakia.

Dezso d'Antalffy, was a Hungarian organist and composer. He was one of the most significant performing artists of his time. He composed pieces for orchestra, chamber orchestra, choir, piano and organ which were published by Schirmer, Ricordi, Leduc, Salabert, Steingräber, Breitkopf and Universal.

This article discusses the administrative divisions of the Kingdom of Hungary between 1941 and 1945. As a result of the First (1938) and Second Vienna Award (1940), territories that had been ceded by the Kingdom of Hungary at the 1920 Treaty of Trianon were partly regained from Czechoslovakia and Romania respectively. This required modification of the administrative divisions.

Ignác Acsády was a Jewish-Hungarian historian, journalist, and fiction writer.
