Jota Quest is a Brazilian pop rock band. The band was founded in 1993 in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais as J. Quest, but due to trademark issues with Hanna-Barbera, they renamed themselves Jota Quest. The band members include: Rogério Flausino (vocals), Marco Túlio Lara (guitar), Márcio Buzelin (keyboards), PJ (bass) and Paulinho Fonseca (drums). Jota Quest initially stood apart from Minas Gerais' musical tradition by garnering national success with pop rock and blue-eyed soul-tinged pop. Eventually the band exposed its Clube da Esquina influences, including collaborations with Minas Gerais exponents Paulinho Pedra Azul and Milton Nascimento in Oxigenio as well as jams with 14 Bis and a collaboration with Roberto Carlos over his hit single "Alem do Horizonte". Jota Quest sold over 4,000,000 copies in Brazil, Latin America and Portugal.
"Imma Be" is a song by the American group the Black Eyed Peas from their fifth studio album The E.N.D. (2009). The song's title is a slang expression, meaning "I am going to be" or "I will be". Initially released as a promotional single, the song went on to receive a full release as the fourth single from The E.N.D. on January 12, 2010, by Interscope Records.
"Be on You" is the fifth official single from Flo Rida's second album, R.O.O.T.S.. It features Ne-Yo and is produced by Stargate. Despite gaining much airplay in July 2009, the single wasn't officially released until October 2009, due to Flo Rida focusing on promoting his other single "Jump". It takes a famous line from the movie Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy and uses it as its chorus.
Billboard Brasil was a monthly Brazilian magazine launched on October 10, 2009, with a print-run of over 40,000 copies. It is distributed nationwide by Brazil's biggest distributor Dinap. The Billboard charts printed in the magazine and on its website are accepted as Brazil's official charts. The last print issue was the 49th, in July 2014, with the following one only getting a digital version for tablets. The magazine eventually stopped being published, only updating its website until closing its operations in 2019.
"The Only Exception" is a song by American rock band Paramore. It was released by Fueled by Ramen in February 2010 as the third single from the band's third studio album, Brand New Eyes (2009). The song was written by band members Hayley Williams and Josh Farro; Paramore is also credited as being co-producers to the song. The song was generally well-received by music critics; praise of the song was mainly about Williams' vocal performance. Music critics reviewing the song noted that "The Only Exception" was a different musical theme for the band.
"Talking to the Moon" is a song by American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars from his debut studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010). The song was first unveiled on Mars's debut extended play, It's Better If You Don't Understand (2010), as its last track. It was written by Mars, Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine, Albert Winkler, and Jeff Bhasker, while production was handled by the Smeezingtons in collaboration with Bhasker. "Talking to the Moon" is a pop and R&B power ballad about a failed relationship, solitude, and sadness. Instrumentally, the track relies on drum percussion and piano.
"A Thousand Years" is a song recorded by American singer and songwriter Christina Perri, and written by Perri and David Hodges, for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. The song was released as a digital download on October 18, 2011, worldwide, and serves as the second single for the movie. Perri re-recorded the song with vocals from Steve Kazee for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2.
"Ai Se Eu Te Pego" is a 2008 Brazilian song by Sharon Acioly and Antônio Dyggs, with co-authorship by Aline da Fonseca, Amanda Teixeira and Karine Assis Vinagre and first performed by Os Meninos de Seu Zeh, directed by Dyggs himself.
Brazilian singer Anitta has released five studio albums, one live album, two extended plays, 47 singles and 66 music videos. Anitta was discovered by music producer DJ Batutinha via YouTube in 2010. She eventually signed a record deal with Warner Music Brazil in 2013 and released her debut album, Anitta, that same year, which reached number one and was certified as a gold album in Brazil. Her debut album also produced four singles, including the commercially successful hits "Show das Poderosas" and "Zen".
"Esse Cara Sou Eu" is a song by Brazilian recording artist Roberto Carlos. was released on November 4, 2012 as the first single from extended play (EP) Esse Cara Sou Eu, with the record labels Amigos Records and Sony Music. The song was produced by Guto Graça Mello and Dody Sirena. The track were included on the soundtrack of the Rede Globo's telenovela Salve Jorge in 2012. "Ese Tipo Soy Yo" is the Spanish-language version of the song released for the Hispanophone market.
