Giresun Province Province of Turkey in East Black Sea

Giresun Province is a province of Turkey on the Black Sea coast. Its adjacent provinces are Trabzon to the east, Gümüşhane to the southeast, Erzincan to the south, Sivas to the southwest, and Ordu to the west. The provincial capital is Giresun.

Yenice is a small town in Çamoluk district of Giresun Province, Turkey. It is situated at 40°06′N38°53′E to the south of Kelkit River valley. Distance to Çamoluk is 16 kilometres (9.9 mi). Situated at the extreme south east of the province the distance to Giresun is over 200 kilometres (120 mi) and the road between Giresun and Çamoluk needs to be repaired. The population of Yenice is 819 as of 2013. Comparing this figure with the figures of the former years shows a rapid decline in population. The main economic activity is agriculture. Beehiving is another sector.
