Songs in the film vary in genre like EDM, bhangra, opera, urban. The original version of the soundtrack has youth oriented voices. The original version of the album was released on 6 September 2014. The audio was launched at a grand function at the Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Stadium, Chennai on 12 September 2014, with Arnold Schwarzenegger as the Chief Guest. The dubbed Hindi version of the album was released at a promotional event held in PVR, Mumbai on 31 December 2014. The dubbed Telugu version of the album was released digitally on the same day.
DK is a 2015 Indian Kannada satirical film directed by Vijay Kampali, formerly known as Udaya Prakash, who also directed Kalla Malla Sulla and Auto Raja. Produced by actress Rakshita, the film stars Prem and Chaitra Chandranath. Actress Sunny Leone features in a special item song Sesamma, which marks her Kannada film debut. The film's score and soundtrack was composed by Arjun Janya, and the first Kannada film to feature 7.1 surround sound. The film opened across Karnataka on 13 February 2015.

Alai Payuthey is the soundtrack album, composed by A. R. Rahman, to the 2000 Indian Tamil film of the same name. The majority of the film was shot in Belgium.
