The Little Rock and Western Railway( reporting mark LRWN) is a Class III short-line railroad headquartered in Perry, Arkansas, and owned by Genesee & Wyoming Inc.
LRWN operates over a 79 miles (127 km) line from Danville, Arkansas to Pulaski, Arkansas, then over 3 miles (4.8 km) of Union Pacific Railroad (UP) trackage rights to North Little Rock, Arkansas where it interchanges with Union Pacific. LRWN also serves as the agent for BNSF Railway to interchange cars between BNSF and UP at North Little Rock.
LRWN traffic generally consists of wood and paper products, grain, limestone slurry, cornstarch, salt, LP gas, and pulp mill liquid.
The line was initially built in 1900 by the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Gulf Railroad, and became part of the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railroad main line between Memphis, Tennessee, and Tucumcari, New Mexico, in 1904. When the Rock Island abandoned operations, Green Bay Packaging (whose Arkansas Kraft paper mill north of Perry was and is a major shipper on the line) obtained the Perry to Pulaski line and started LRWN shortline service in 1980. In 1983, Green Bay Packaging partnered with Rail Management Corporation and later sold the LRWN to RMC. In 1986, LRWN was authorized to operate the Danville to Perry segment, owned by Continental Grain Company. Genesee & Wyoming Inc. purchased RMC in June 2005.

The Alabama & Gulf Coast Railway is a Class II railroad owned by Genesee & Wyoming. It operates 339 miles (546 km) of track from the Pensacola, Florida export terminals, west of downtown, north to Columbus, Mississippi, with trackage rights along BNSF Railway to Amory, Mississippi. A branch uses trackage rights along Norfolk Southern from Kimbrough, Alabama west and south to Mobile, Alabama, with separate trackage at the end of the line in Mobile.
The Illinois and Midland Railroad is a railroad in the U.S. state of Illinois, serving Peoria, Springfield and Taylorville. Until 1996, when Genesee & Wyoming Inc. bought it, the company was named the Chicago and Illinois Midland Railway. It was once a Class I railroad, specializing in the hauling of coal. At the end of 1970 it operated 121 route-miles on 214 miles of track; it reported 255 million ton-miles of revenue freight that year.
The San Joaquin Valley Railroad is one of several short line railroad companies and is part of the Western Region Division of Genesee & Wyoming Inc. It operates over about 371 miles (597 km) of owned or leased track primarily on several lines in California's Central Valley/San Joaquin Valley around Fresno and Bakersfield. The SJVR has trackage rights over Union Pacific between Fresno, Goshen, Famoso, Bakersfield and Algoso. The SJVR also operated for the Tulare Valley Railroad (TVRR) from Calwa to Corcoran and Famoso.
The Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi Railroad is a 52.9-mile (85.1 km) short-line railroad in northern Louisiana and southern Arkansas. Opened in 1908, it has undergone several corporate reorganizations, but has remained independent of larger carriers. In 2004, paper producer Georgia-Pacific sold the company to shortline operator Genesee & Wyoming Inc. Traffic generally consists of lumber, paper, forest products, and chemicals.

The Kyle Railroad is a regional railroad line that runs from North Central Kansas into Eastern Colorado. It is based in Phillipsburg, Kansas and runs on a 556 miles (895 km) track, mostly the former Rock Island Railroad Chicago to Denver main line. The Kyle was owned by RailAmerica from 2002 to 2012. Genesee & Wyoming Inc. bought RailAmerica in late 2012. As of 2023, KYLE holds 556 total miles, has a maximum capacity of 286,000 gross pounds per railcar. KYLE also has two interchanges: BNSF(Courtland, Kansas and Concordia, Kansas); Union Pacific.
