Dónde Están los Ladrones? is the fourth studio album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, released on 29 September 1998 by Sony Music Colombia. After attaining success in Latin America with her major-label debut, Pies Descalzos (1995), Shakira met producer Emilio Estefan, who identified her potential to break into the US Latin market and became her manager. As co-producer, Shakira enlisted previous collaborator Luis Fernando Ochoa along with Pablo Flores, Javier Garza, Lester Mendez, and Estefan, who served as executive producers. Dónde Están los Ladrones? incorporates Latin pop styles, with influences of rock en español and Middle Eastern music.

(1998) and Laundry Service (2001), along with the live album MTV Unplugged (2000). The album only featured Spanish-language tracks and featured no new recordings. It also did not include songs from her first two studio albums, Magia and Peligro.
The Remixes is the first and only remix album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, released on 21 October 1997, by Sony Music Colombia. It is composed of remixed versions of tracks from her debut studio album Pies Descalzos, with which she attained Latin American success two years prior. While primarily a Spanish-language project, the album additionally contains re-recorded versions of songs in Portuguese.
Against the Wind is the eleventh studio album by American rock singer Bob Seger and his fourth which credits the Silver Bullet Band. Like many of his albums, about half of the tracks feature the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section as backing musicians. It was released in February 1980. After attaining international success in 2001 with her fifth studio album and first English-language record, Laundry Service, Shakira wanted to release a fifth Spanish-language project as a follow-up. In the vein of her earlier work, Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 is a Latin pop album. Shakira enlisted Rick Rubin as executive producer, also working with Gustavo Cerati, Lester Mendez, Luis Fernando Ochoa and Jose "Gocho" Torres.

The performance comes from her 2002 MTV Unplugged special recorded on July 21, 2001, at MTV Studios in Times Square, New York City. Hill abandoned the hip hop sounds of her debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998) in favor of folk and soul songs she performed with an acoustic guitar. The songs were interspersed with spoken interludes about her personal and artistic struggles.

It was recorded before a live audience at the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles, California, on February 8, 2011 and released by Fonovisa Records on May 24, 2011. The album includes featured performances by Andrés Calamaro, Calle 13, Zack de la Rocha, Juanes, Paulina Rubio and Diego Torres.
