MTV Unplugged is the first live album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira,released on 29 February 2000,by Columbia Records [ citation needed ] and Sony Latin. It was recorded on 12 August 1999,during her MTV Unplugged performance at the Grand Ballroom in New York City.
The performance was released in 2000 as a live album,and again in 2002 as a DVD. It was critically acclaimed by American critics and earned Shakira her first Grammy Award for Best Latin Pop Album.
The Unplugged concert was the program's first episode to be broadcast entirely in Spanish and served as her major breakthrough in the U.S. market. [3] The concert is noted to be the "first time a Latin pop act attempted an Unplugged,the first Latina solo act to do so,and the first time a Latino act didn't tape their performance at MTV's studios in Miami." The concert has received critical acclaim,and is included on lists of best unplugged performances. The performance is listed on Vulture Magazine's “7 Really Good MTV Unplugged Performances”list. [5] Nylon has included “Sombra De Ti”on the list “10 Of The Best ‘MTV Unplugged’Performances.” [6] Yardbarker ranked the album at number 3 on their list of“20 greatest MTV 'Unplugged' albums.”. Dónde Están los Ladrones? is the fourth studio album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, released on 29 September 1998 by Sony Music Colombia. After attaining success in Latin America with her major-label debut, Pies Descalzos (1995), Shakira met producer Emilio Estefan, who identified her potential to break into the US Latin market and became her manager. As co-producer, Shakira enlisted previous collaborator Luis Fernando Ochoa along with Pablo Flores, Javier Garza, Lester Mendez, and Estefan, who served as executive producers. Dónde Están los Ladrones? incorporates Latin pop styles, with influences of rock en español and Middle Eastern music.
Unplugged is a 1992 live album by Eric Clapton, recorded at Bray Studios, England in front of an audience for the MTV Unplugged television series. It includes a version of the successful 1992 single "Tears in Heaven" and an acoustic version of "Layla". The album itself won three Grammy awards at the 35th Annual Grammy Awards in 1993 and became the bestselling live album of all time, and Clapton's bestselling album, selling 26 million copies worldwide.
Grandes Éxitos is the first greatest hits album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira. It was released on 2 November 2002, by Sony Music Colombia, one year after her fifth studio album and English-language debut Laundry Service. It is composed of Spanish-language recordings from her third, fourth and fifth studio efforts Pies Descalzos (1995), Dónde Están los Ladrones? (1998) and Laundry Service (2001), along with the live album MTV Unplugged (2000). The album only featured Spanish-language tracks and featured no new recordings. It also did not include songs from her first two studio albums, Magia and Peligro.
The Remixes is the first and only remix album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira, released on 21 October 1997, by Sony Music Colombia. It is composed of remixed versions of tracks from her debut studio album Pies Descalzos, with which she attained Latin American success two years prior. While primarily a Spanish-language project, the album additionally contains re-recorded versions of songs in Portuguese.
MTV Unplugged is the first live album by Canadian singer-songwriter Alanis Morissette, released by Maverick Records in the United States on November 9, 1999. It comprises songs performed by Morissette on the television program MTV Unplugged. Twelve tracks were included on the album, but Morissette also performed "Baba", "Thank U" and "Your House" during the live taping. These were later released as B-sides on the "King of Pain" single release. The first single, "That I Would Be Good", was moderately successful, and two other tracks, "King of Pain" and "You Learn" were released as singles outside North America. Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 is the sixth studio album by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira. It was released on 3 June 2005 by Epic Records. After attaining international success in 2001 with her fifth studio album and first English-language record, Laundry Service, Shakira wanted to release a fifth Spanish-language project as a follow-up. In the vein of her earlier work, Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 is a Latin pop album. Infused with nuances of Arabic pop, the lyrics tell of the singer traveling the world but not having seen eyes like her lover's. It was released as the album's fifth single in October 1999 by Sony Music Colombia. It was written by Shakira, composed and produced by her, Pablo Flores, and Javier Garza. The song was later adapted into English by Gloria Estefan as "Eyes Like Yours" and included on her first English studio album Laundry Service (2001).
"No" is a song by Colombian singer-songwriter Shakira from her sixth studio album Fijación Oral, Vol. 1 (2005). Its lyrics were written by Shakira. Its music was composed by Shakira and Lester Mendez. The song features Argentine singer-songwriter Gustavo Cerati, who also played the guitar and provided backing vocals to the song. "No" was released as the second single from the album on 2 July 2005, by Epic Records. A Latin pop ballad, it explores a woman's effort in trying to tell her boyfriend that she no longer wants to be involved in a toxic relationship and that separating is best for both.

Latina is the fifteenth studio album by Mexican recording artist Thalía, released on May 6, 2016, by Sony Music Latin.
