Jay-Z:Unplugged is rapper Jay-Z's 2001 live album that contains some of his past songs with live instruments performed by the hip-hop band the Roots. The album,which sold more than 600,000 copies,was recorded during the taping of an MTV Unplugged 2.0 episode on November 18,2001.

Nathaniel Thomas Wilson,better known by his stage name Kool G Rap,is an American rapper. He began his career in the mid-1980s as one half of the group Kool G Rap &DJ Polo and as a member of the Juice Crew. The performance comes from her 2002 MTV Unplugged special recorded on July 21,2001,at MTV Studios in Times Square,New York City. Hill abandoned the hip hop sounds of her debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill (1998) in favor of folk and soul songs she performed with an acoustic guitar. The songs were interspersed with spoken interludes about her personal and artistic struggles.
