Maddison Keeney (born 23 May 1996) is an Australian diver. She is a dual Olympic medalist, winning a bronze medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and silver medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. She has also won gold medals at the 2017 and 2019 World Aquatics Championships and 2022 Commonwealth Games, and silver medals at the 2014, 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games.
Keeny was born in Takapuna, a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. [3] She grew up in Perth, Western Australia, where she attended Churchlands Senior High School. [4] She attended the University of Queensland, graduating with a bachelor's degree in physics and computer science. [3]
Keeney rose to prominence in the Australian aquatic scene, when she competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow, Scotland. There, she won the silver medal in the 1 m springboard event, a bronze in the 3 m synchronised springboard event with her partner Anabelle Smith [5] and came 4th in the women's 3 metre springboard event. [6]
At the 2015 World Aquatics Championships in Kazan, Russia, Keeney finished seventh in the 3 m springboard, fourth in mixed synchronised 3 m springboard, and twelfth in the 1 m springboard. [7]
Keeney performed for the synchronised springboard diving, alongside Anabelle Smith, at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. There, the pair opened with a back dive pike, scoring a score of 48.00 to share fifth place with Germany. On the third dive, they scored 72.20, slipping them to sixth place, within striking distance from bronze. They moved up one spot in the standings to fifth on 228.09 in the penultimate round, before snatching bronze in their final dive. [8] [9]
At the 2017 World Aquatics Championships in Budapest, Hungary, Keeney won gold in the 1m springboard. [10]
She competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games where she won a silver medal in the women's 3 metre springboard event and came 7th in the women's synchronised 3 metre springboard event. [11]
Keeney was training to compete for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan, the games were rescheduled to 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic but pulled out due to an injury. [12]
For the 2022 Commonwealth Games, contested in Birmingham, England, Keeney won a gold medal in the 3 metre synchronised springboard, scoring less than 20 points ahead of silver medalists Nur Dhabitah Sabri and Ng Yan Yee of Malaysia with a final mark of 316.53 points achieved with her partner Anabelle Smith. [13] [14] The following day, she won the gold medal in the 3 metre springboard, scoring 348.95 points in the final round of competition. [15] [16] One day later, she scored 304.02 points with partner Li Shixin in the mixed 3 metre synchronised springboard to win the silver medal. [17] [18]
She competed at the 2024 Summer Olympics where she came 5th in the 3 metre synchronised springboard event alongside Anabelle Smith. [19] She later won a silver medal in the women's 3 metre springboard event, placing second behind Chen Yiwen of China. [20]
Sharleen Marie Stratton is an Australian diver who won gold medals at the 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games, and competed at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics. She is a current Australian Institute of Sport scholarship holder.
Jack David Laugher is a British diver competing for Great Britain and England. A specialist on springboard, he competes in individual springboard events, and in synchronised events with Chris Mears, Daniel Goodfellow and Anthony Harding. Laugher and Mears became Britain's first diving Olympic champions by winning a gold medal in the men's synchronised 3m springboard event at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio, an achievement many had expected double world 10m champion Tom Daley would achieve first. A week later, Laugher won a silver in the men's individual 3m springboard at the same Games, becoming the first British diver to win multiple Olympic diving medals at the same Games.
Anabelle "Belle" Smith is an Australian diver. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games champion in the 3 metre synchronized springboard. She competed in the 3 m springboard synchronized event at the 2012, 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. She won a bronze medal in 2016, and was placed fifth in 2012.
Li Shixin is a Chinese-born Australian diver who specialises in the 1 metre springboard event. Li won gold medals in the 1 metre springboard event in the 2011 and 2013 World Aquatics Championships.
Daniel Goodfellow is a British diver, active since 2011, and in the senior ranks from 2013.
Nur Dhabitah binti Sabri is a Malaysian diver. She is the youngest Malaysian diver to champion two senior international competitions.
Esther Qin is a Chinese-born Australian retired diver.
Domonic Paul William Bedggood is an Australian diver. He was a gold medallist at the 2014 and 2018 Commonwealth Games. He represented Australia at the 2016 Summer Olympics and 2024 Summer Olympics.
Matthew Lee is a British diver and Olympic gold medallist. Adept in both individual and synchronised diving, and across both 3-metre springboard and platform, Lee won the gold medal in 10-metre platform at the 2015 European Games, the mixed 10-metre synchronised platform at the 2017 European Diving Championships and has twice been European junior champion on the 3-metre springboard. At world level, Lee won the silver medal in the mixed 10-metre synchronised platform event at the 2017 World Championships, and at the 2019 World Championships, Lee and Tom Daley won bronze in the 10 m synchro event, as well as gold in July 2021 at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
Grace Elizabeth Reid is a Scottish diver representing Scotland and Great Britain, and specialising in 1 metre and 3 metre springboard disciplines. She is a world championship silver medallist in the 1 metre springboard, twice a world medallist in the 3 metre mixed synchronised 3 metre springboard discipline, a double gold medallist at both the European Championships and the Commonwealth Games as well as a multiple minor medallist in both those events, the European Games and the FINA Diving World Cup. Domestically, Reid is a three-time national champion.
Lois Mae Toulson is a British diver. A specialist in the 10 metre platform, she won the gold medal at the inaugural European Games in 2015, and the senior European title in 2017. She competed in the women's synchronized ten metre platform event at the 2016 Summer Olympics with Tonia Couch and she won bronze at the 2024 Summer Olympics in same category with Andrea Spendolini-Sirieix. She won silver in mixed 10m platform synchro at the 2017 World Aquatics Championships with Matty Lee, and gold in the women's synchronized 10 metre platform at the 2018 European Aquatics Championships with Eden Cheng.

Aidan Heslop is a British diver and high diver who competes internationally representing Wales and Great Britain. In 2024 he won gold in the men's high dive at the 2024 World Aquatics Championships.
