Malysha Kelly (born 14 January 1990) [1] is a Jamaican netball player, who has made over 50 appearances for the national side, and is a former captain. At club level, she most recently played for Severn Stars in the Netball Superleague.
Kelly plays as a goal defence and a goalkeeper. [6] She has played for St Catherine Racers in the Jamaican Berger Elite League, [7] and signed for English club Manchester Thunder ahead of the 2016 Netball Superleague season. [8] [9] Ahead of the 2017 Suncorp Super Netball season, Kelly signed for Australian team Adelaide Thunderbirds. [5] [10] She had the most intercepts of any player in the season. [10]
She signed for New Zealand team Southern Steel ahead of the 2018 ANZ Premiership season. [11] In early 2018, Kelly suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury, which forced her to miss the 2018 ANZ Premiership season, the 2018 Commonwealth Games, [12] and the September 2018 Quad Series. [13] She re-ruptured the ACL later in 2018, which prolonged her time away from professional netball. [6]
Kelly signed for English team Severn Stars for the 2021 Netball Superleague season. [14] She left the team ahead of the 2022 season. [15]
Kelly has made at least 62 international appearances for Jamaica. [5] She made her senior debut in the 2008 Americas Federation of Netball Associations Championships in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. [7] In 2009, she was part of the Jamaica under-21 team that came third at the Netball World Youth Cup. [16] In the same year, she played in Jamaica's tour of Australia and New Zealand. She played in 2010 World Netball Series, where Jamaica came third. [16] Kelly represented Jamaica at the 2011 World Netball Championships, where they finished fourth. [7] [11] She represented Jamaica in the netball event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, where Jamaica won the bronze medal. [11] [8] In the same year, she captained Jamaica during their tour of England. [9] Kelly missed the 2015 Netball World Cup in Australia due to a knee injury, [8] [9] that she sustained during the Berger Elite League. [17] In 2017, she played at the Caribbean Netball Championships. [18] Her last appearance for Jamaica prior to her 2018 injury was in the 2017 Fast5 Netball World Series tournament. [6]
In December 2020, Kelly was included in the Jamaica squad for their tour of England. It was her first callup since her ACL injury, [19] [20] though the series was later postponed due to Jamaican travel restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. [21] [22] She was in the Jamaican squad for their 2021 series against Trinidad and Tobago, [23] and the 2021 Vitality Roses Reunited Series in England. [24] Kelly was not selected for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but returned to the Jamaican squad for their 2023 tour of England. [25]

Ama Agbeze is an England netball international. She was captain when England won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. In 2019 she received an for her services to netball. She was also a member of the England team that won the bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games. As of 2020, Agbeze has played for at least sixteen different club teams in England, Australia and New Zealand.
Madison “Madi” Browne is an Australian netball player who has been one of the most successful Australian Netball players.
Geva Kate Mentor CBE is a former England netball international. She has competed for England in six Commonwealth Games. She was a member of the England team that won the gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She was also a member of the England teams that won the bronze medal at the 2006 and 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011, 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cups. She captained England at the 2015 Netball World Cup.
Carla Borrego, also known as Carla Williams and Carla Williams-Borrego, is a former Jamaica netball international. She was a member of the Jamaica team that won the bronze medal at the 2003 World Netball Championships. She subsequently switched to women's basketball, playing for Broward Seahawks and Miami Hurricanes. In 2009, after returning to netball, Borrego began playing for Adelaide Thunderbirds in the ANZ Championship. She was a prominent member of the Thunderbirds teams that won the 2010 and 2013 titles. She has also played for Sirens in the Netball Superleague and for Garville in the Netball South Australia Premier League.
Jade Bridget Clarke is an English netball player. Primarily a midcourt defender, Clarke was selected for the England national netball team in 2002, making her senior debut the following year against New Zealand. During her international career, she has competed at six Netball World Cups/Championships, four Commonwealth Games, and the 2009 and 2011 World Netball Series.
Chelsea Pitman is an Australian-born netball player who represented the England National Netball Team internationally until 18 September 2023. She is currently contracted as a training partner and temporary replacement player for the GIANTS Netball playing in the Suncorp Super Netball competition in Australia. She is predominantly a wing attack, but can also play goal attack.
Jhaniele Fowler is a professional Jamaican netball player and as of 2018 a member of the West Coast Fever in the Suncorp Super Netball League. Fowler also plays domestic netball in Jamaica for the Waulgrovians club, and has been a member of the Jamaica national netball team since 2010.
Helen Housby is a professional English netball player. She has represented the England national netball team since 2014. Housby played club netball for the Superleague side Manchester Thunder from 2013 to 2016, helping them win the 2014 Superleague Grand-Final against rivals Surrey Storm. Since 2017 she plays for the New South Wales Swifts.
Stacey Francis-Bayman is a former England netball international. She was a member of the England teams that won bronze medals at the 2010 Commonwealth Games and at the 2011 and 2015 Netball World Cups. At club level she has played for both Team Bath and Yorkshire Jets in the Netball Superleague, for Canterbury Tactix in the ANZ Championship and for West Coast Fever in Suncorp Super Netball. Between 2005–06 and 2013 she was a prominent member of the Team Bath squad as they won five Superleague titles. She played in the 2010 and 2013 grand finals and in both 2011 and 2013 she was named the Netball Superleague Player of the Season. In 2017 she was inducted into the University of Bath/Team Bath Hall of Fame for Sport.
Beth Cobden is an England netball international. She was a member of the England teams that won gold medals at the 2017 Fast5 Netball World Series and the 2018 Commonwealth Games. At club level, she was a member of the Northern Thunder/Manchester Thunder teams that won Netball Superleague titles in 2012 and 2014. She also played in two grand finals for Loughborough Lightning which won their first ever Superleague title in 2021. In 2019 she signed for Adelaide Thunderbirds of Suncorp Super Netball.
Lenize Potgieter is a South African professional netball player who currently plays for Manchester Thunder and the South African national team.
Kelly Jury is a New Zealand netball international. She represented New Zealand at the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. During the ANZ Championship era Jury played for Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. Since 2020, she has played for Central Pulse in the ANZ Premiership. Jury was a prominent member of the Pulse teams that won the 2020 and 2022 ANZ Premierships. Alongside Tiana Metuarau, she was co-captain of the 2022 Pulse team. She was the 2022 ANZ Premiership Player of the Year and shared the 2022 Dame Lois Muir Supreme Award with Grace Nweke.
Natalie Metcalf is an English netball player. She was part of the England squad that won gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She was appointed captain of the England team in 2022 and led them to their first Netball World Cup final a year later, where they finished runner up to Australia.
Georgina Fisher is a full-time English netball player. She plays in the ANZ Premiership for the New Zealand team Southern Steel. She was a member of the Wasps Netball squad which won the UK Superleague in 2018, and represented England in the 2018 Sunshine Series against Jamaica and the 2018 Fast5 Netball World Series in Melbourne.
Eleanor Cardwell is an English international netball player. She plays in goal attack and goal shooter for England, and at the club level represented Manchester Thunder and Severn Stars in the Netball Superleague until the end of the 2022 season. Eleanor joined the Adelaide Thunderbirds in the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season. For the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Season, Cardwell will be reuniting with familiar face Tracey Neville at Melbourne Mavericks
Kate Walsh is an Australian netball player, most recently in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing for the Sunshine Coast Lightning. In August 2019, Jess Thirlby the new England Roses Coach announced Shimmin would join the full time England Roses programme.
Kimiora Poi is a New Zealand netball international. She was a member of the New Zealand teams that won the 2017 Netball World Youth Cup, the 2018 Fast5 Netball World Series and the 2021 Constellation Cup. Since 2018, Poi has played for Mainland Tactix in the ANZ Premiership. Poi was a prominent member of the 2020 and 2021 Mainland Tactix teams that played in two successive grand finals. Ahead of the 2022 season, Poi was appointed Tactix captain.
Temalisi Fakahokotau is a New Zealand netball player of Tongan descent. She first played for the national team in 2014.
Laura Malcolm is an English netball player who has been a co-captain of the national team. At club level, she plays for Mainland Tactix in the ANZ Premiership, and has previously played for Netball Superleague teams Manchester Thunder and Severn Stars.
The 2018 Southern Steel season saw the Southern Steel netball team compete in the 2018 ANZ Premiership and the 2018 Netball New Zealand Super Club. With a team coached by Reinga Bloxham, captained by Wendy Frew and featuring Gina Crampton, Shannon Francois, Te Paea Selby-Rickit and Te Huinga Reo Selby-Rickit, Steel retained the ANZ Premiership title, winning their second consecutive premiership after defeating Central Pulse 54–53 in the grand final. In the Super Club tournament, Steel finished third.
