The hamlet is located to the north of Biddulph and is close to both Biddulph Grange and St Lawrence's Church, which are a short distance to the east. [2]

The hamlet is also close to the border with neighbouring Cheshire. [3]

Transport

The Biddulph Valley Way passes through the hamlet towards Congleton and back towards Biddulph and Stoke-on-Trent. [4]

The hamlet has regular bus services to Biddulph, Kidsgrove and Newcastle-under-Lyme. [5]
