Mazopherusa is a genus of flabelligerid annelid worm, known only from the Pennsylvanian Mazon Creek lagerstatte; [1] it is the only bona fide fossil member of the family.

Monte Creek Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada, located in the locality of Monte Creek, British Columbia. Created in 1996, it is only 3 hectares in size, and protects a forested riparian area and also quiggly hole ("kekuli") sites of the Shuswap people, which have been formally studied as an archaeological site. The location was also part of the route of the Hudson's Bay Brigade Trail to the Cariboo via Kamloops from what is now the United States, as was Monte Lake in the upper basin of the eponymous creek.
Rosewall Creek Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada, located northwest of the community of Bowser. The park is situated along picturesque Rosewall Creek, south of Fanny Bay on central Vancouver Island. The park features a mixture of coniferous trees interspersed with striking broad leaf maple trees. One of the best times to visit this park is in the fall when the color of the maple leaves makes an attractive backdrop for photographers.

Chickahominy Wildlife Management Area is a 5,217-acre (21.11 km2) Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Charles City County, Virginia. It is the only WMA located in the coastal plain of tidewater Virginia consisting primarily of forested uplands with a lesser amount of wetland habitat. The area's namesake is the Chickahominy River, a tidal river which forms its eastern boundary. Morris Creek flows through the property, forming its southern boundary; other smaller creeks and marshes are also present. The forests mainly consist of mixed hardwoods and pines. The preserve is nearly level, with elevations ranging from 25 to 50 feet above sea level.

Black Meadow Creek is a 9.7-mile-long (15.6 km) tributary of the Otter Kill in Orange County, New York, in the United States. Via the Otter Kill, it is part of the Moodna Creek watershed, flowing onward to the Hudson River, in one of New York State's most biodiverse natural areas. Home to 13 species of salamander as well as to New York's largest population of the Northern Cricket Frog, the state's only listed "Endangered" frog species, the creek area is considered by biologists to be one of the state's herpetological "hot spots". Black Meadow Creek has several confirmed bald eagle nests along its length.
