The Mercedes-Benz M113 (and similar M155) engine is a gasoline-fueled, spark-ignition internal-combustion V8 automobile engine family used in the 2000s. It is based on the similar M112 V6 introduced in 1997, then later phased out in 2007 for the M156 AMG engine and the M273 engine.
The standard Mercedes-Benz M113s were built in Untertürkheim, Germany, while the AMG versions were assembled at AMG's Affalterbach, Germany plant. M113s have aluminum/silicon (Alusil) engine blocks and aluminum SOHC cylinder heads with two spark plugs per cylinder. The cylinder heads have 3 valves per cylinder (two intake, one exhaust). Other features include sequential fuel injection, iron coated piston skirts, fracture-split forged steel connecting rods, a one-piece cast camshaft, and a magnesium intake manifold.
The M113 43 is a 4.3 L (4,266 cc) version. Bore and stroke is 89.9 mm × 84 mm (3.54 in × 3.31 in). Power output is 279 PS (205 kW; 275 hp) at 5,750 rpm with 400 N⋅m (295 lb⋅ft) of torque at 3,000 rpm. Output for the variant used in the C 43 AMG is uprated to 306 PS (225 kW; 302 hp) at 5,850 rpm and 410 N⋅m (302 lb⋅ft) at 3,250 rpm.
Applications:
The M113 50 is a 5.0 L (4,966 cc) version with a bore and stroke of 97 mm × 84 mm (3.82 in × 3.31 in). Power output is 306 PS (225 kW; 302 hp) at 5,600 rpm with 460 N⋅m (339 lb⋅ft) of torque at 2,700 to 4,250 rpm. The G 500 and ML 500 both use a detuned version of the 5-liter M113 engine and their output is 296 PS (218 kW; 292 hp) and 292 PS (215 kW; 288 hp) respectively. Active Cylinder Control variable displacement technology is optional.
Applications:
The M113 55 is a 5.4 L (5,439 cc) version with the same 97 mm (3.82 in) bore as the M113 50/500 but with a longer 92 mm (3.62 in) stroke developed by Mercedes-AMG. These cars were the first to carry the 55 AMG title. Power output is 347 to 367 PS (255 to 270 kW; 342 to 362 hp) at 5,500–5,750 rpm with 510 to 530 N⋅m (376 to 391 lb⋅ft) of torque at 2,800–5,400 rpm. Many popular tuners such as Kleemann USA and AMG itself developed supercharger systems for this model, mirroring the later M113 E55 ML design. [1] The engine has a power output of 400 hp (406 PS; 298 kW) at 5,750 rpm and 519 N⋅m (383 lb⋅ft) of torque at 3,750 rpm in the SLK55 AMG Black Series. [2] [3]

The M113 Kompressor is a supercharged and twin-intercooled version of the 5.4 L (5,439 cc) M113. It is commonly referred to as "M113K" – where 'K' stands for Kompressor (supercharger). Power output varies depending on year and model, from 469 bhp (476 PS; 350 kW) at 6,100 rpm for the E 55 AMG to 574 bhp (582 PS; 428 kW) in the 2004–2006 CLK DTM AMG, with 700 to 800 N⋅m (516 to 590 lb⋅ft) of torque at 2,750–4,000 rpm.
Many Mercedes-AMG enthusiasts consider the M113K as the last of the great Kompressor engines used by Mercedes-AMG excluding the Mercedes SLR McLaren. The M113K engine has also received praise for its reliability. [1] Mercedes-AMG replaced this model with their new 6.2 L naturally aspirated V8, making the transition from 55 AMG to the 63 AMG.

The M155 is a version of the supercharged 5.4 L (5,439 cc) M113 specifically for the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. Power output is 617 bhp (626 PS; 460 kW) at 6,500 rpm with 780 N⋅m (575 lb⋅ft) of torque at 3,250 rpm. [5] An uprated version with 641 bhp (650 PS; 478 kW) at 6,500 rpm and 820 N⋅m (605 lb⋅ft) of torque at 4,000 rpm and 7250 rpm Rev Limit, featured in the 722 edition. [6]

The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren is a grand tourer jointly developed by German automotive manufacturer Mercedes-Benz and British automobile manufacturer McLaren Automotive and sold from 2003 to 2010. When the car was developed, Mercedes-Benz owned 40 percent of the McLaren Group and the car was produced in conjunction between the two companies. The "SLR" name is an abbreviation for "Sport Leicht Rennsport", and was a homage to the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR which served as the car's inspiration. The car was offered in coupé, roadster and speedster bodystyles, with the latter being a limited edition model.

The Mercedes-Benz M275 engine is a twin-turbocharged and intercooled, all-aluminium, 60° V12 automobile piston engine family used in the 2000s to the 2010s. It is loosely based on the M137 naturally aspirated V12 sold between 1998 and 2002, and retains its SOHC, 3 valves per cylinder, twin-spark ignition layout, but differs with the addition of structural reinforcements to the engine block for improved rigidity which in turn yields greater reliability. The M275 V12 Bi-Turbo engine was modified with the addition of larger turbochargers. Several variations of the M275 V12 Bi-turbo engine have powered many top-of-the-range Mercedes-Benz and Maybach models since 2003.
The Mercedes-Benz M112 engine is a gasoline-fueled, 4-stroke, spark-ignition, internal-combustion automobile piston V6 engine family used in the 2000s. Introduced in 1996, it was the first gasoline V6 engine ever built by Mercedes. A short time later the related M113 V8 was introduced.
The C209/A209 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class is the second generation of the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class range of grand tourers, produced between 2001 and 2009. There were two body styles available: a 2-door coupé (C209) and a 2-door convertible (A209). The latter being assembled at the Karmann plant in Osnabrück. The M156 is the first automobile V8 engine designed autonomously by Mercedes-Benz subsidiary Mercedes-AMG, as previous AMG engines have always been based on original Mercedes engines. The engine was designed to be a naturally aspirated racing unit, and is also used in a number of high-performance AMG-badged Mercedes-Benz models. The engine was designed by Bernd Ramler, famed by the design of the Porsche Carrera GT's 5.7-liter V-10 engine.
The C208/A208 Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class was introduced in 1997, and was based on the W202 Mercedes-Benz C-Class launched three years earlier. The C208 coupé was the first generation of the Mercedes-Benz CLK-Class and was subsequently replaced by the C209 CLK-Class in 2002, although the convertible remained in production till March 2003 when replaced by the A209 CLK. In total 233,367 units of the first generation CLK were manufactured in its coupé form, when production ceased in May 2002 and additional 115,161 cabriolets assembled at Karmann plant in Osnabrück.
The Mercedes-Benz M137 engine is a naturally aspirated, SOHC 60° V12 engine, with three valves per cylinder, 2 intake and 1 exhaust. It was built to replace the larger and heavier, yet more powerful, DOHC, four valves per cylinder, naturally aspirated, 6.0 L M120 V12 unit. The M137 was used briefly between 1998 and 2002 for the W220 S-Class and C215 CL-Class. The architecture is similar to M112 and M113 engines, and is designed to match the overall dimensions of a V8 unit with undersquare internal measurements. The crankcase was cast in a lightweight alloy with "Silitec" (silicon/aluminium) cylinder liners to save weight. The M137 is 80 kg lighter than its predecessor and features cylinder deactivation technology. Both displacement variants have 10:1 compression ratio.
The Mercedes-Benz M273 engine is a V8 automobile piston engine family used in the 2000s (decade). It was based on the similar M272 V6 introduced in 2004.
