"Mil Veces" is a song by Brazilian singer Anitta, recorded for her sixth studio album, Funk Generation (2024). [1] The song was released as the second single from the album on 19 October 2023, through Floresta Records, Republic Records, and Universal Latin Entertainment. [2]
On 17 August 2023, Anitta released the extended play (EP) Funk Generation: A Favela Love Story, an audiovisual project and the "first chapter" of her sixth studio album. [3] [4] The project contains three official singles—"Funk Rave", "Casi Casi", and "Used to Be"—all released with their respective music videos. On 23 September 2023, Anitta performed at the song at the Global Citizen Festival in New York City, an event that advocates for environmental and global development causes. The singer announced the release date of "Mil Veces" as October 19, along with its music video, which was filmed in Canada and features Italian singer Damiano David, lead vocalist of the rock band Måneskin. [10] [11] [12]
Anitta first performed "Mil Veces" on 20 November 2023, at Operación Triunfo. [13] On 25 November, she performed the song at Megaland Music Fest. Larissa de Macedo Machado, known professionally as Anitta, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, dancer, actress, philanthropic, and occasional television host. One of Brazil's most prominent artists, she became known for her versatile style and mixing genres such as pop, funk, reggaeton and electronic music. She has received numerous accolades, including four Latin American Music Awards, three MTV Music Video Awards, nine MTV Europe Music Awards, two Guinness World Records, and nominations for two Grammy Award and ten Latin Grammy Awards, in addition to being the Brazilian female singer with the most entries on the Billboard Hot 100. She has been referred to as the "Queen of Brazilian Pop".
Brazilian singer Anitta has released six studio albums, one live album, five extended plays, 47 singles and 66 music videos. Anitta was discovered by music producer DJ Batutinha via YouTube in 2010. She eventually signed a record deal with Warner Music Brazil in 2013 and released her debut album, Anitta, that same year, which reached number one and was certified as a gold album in Brazil.
