Milk VFX is a British independent visual effects studio. It was founded in London in 2013 [1] and is known for creating complex and innovative sequences for high-end television and feature films.
The company received an Academy Award for Sara Bennett’s work on Ex Machina, [2] three BAFTA Television Craft Awards [3] for Doctor Who 50th Anniversary Episode: The Day of The Doctor, Doctor Who Series 8 Episode 1: Deep Breath and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell Episode 5: Arabella. In addition, Milk has won a Creative Arts Emmy Awards for Sherlock Special Episode: The Abominable Bride.
Headquartered in Clerkenwell, London, Milk has bolstered its offering by expanding into Bordeaux, [4] Dublin [5] and Barcelona [6] and acquired independent, BAFTA award-winning VFX studio LolaPostProduction . Milk’s parent company Bizet Media has acquired Dublin-based High Wire [7] post-production to provide broader VFX and production solutions.
Milk was founded by a small group of talented VFX artists and producers in 2013 [8] and moved into a new office in Clerkenwell [9] at the start of 2022.
In October of 2022 Milk acquired BAFTA Award winning VFX Studio Lola Post Production. [10]
In December 2022 Milk announced the launch of a new studio in Bordeaux, [11] France. Milk VFX Supervisor Andy Morley leads the studio and creative team as Head of Studio and Creative Director.
In March 2023 Milk announced the soft launch of a studio in Dublin, Ireland. [12] Overseeing the creative launch of the studio are Milk VFX Supervisors Ciaran Crowley and Donal Nolan.
In July 2023 Milk announced its presence in El Poblenou, Barcelona, Spain. [13] This follows a long relationship between Milk and the talent in Spain; leading the creative team is Milk 2D Supervisor Jorge Oliva Ruiz de Leon.

The Framestore Limited is a British animation and visual effects studio based on Chancery Lane in London. Formed in 1986, it acquired and subsequently merged with the Computer Film Company in 1997. Framestore specialises in effects for film, television, video games, and other media. It is the largest production house within Europe, employing roughly 2500 staff — 1000 in London, and 1500 across offices in Chicago, New York, Los Angeles, Montreal, Vancouver, Mumbai and Beijing.

Gregory S. Butler is an Academy Award-winning American visual effects supervisor. He graduated from Suffield High School in 1989 and afterwards entered Hampshire College. Despite his initial plans to study history, a work-study job with the audiovisual equipment in the library made him interested in film production. Butler graduated in 1993 with a major in film, television and theater design. Afterwards he moved to California to work for Industrial Light and Magic for 9 months, where after intern work he managed to become an assistant in the effects department, starting with assistant credits in The Mask and Forrest Gump. Following a job at Rocket Science Games until the company's bankruptcy in 1996, Butler went to Tippett Studio and did effects work in Starship Troopers and My Favorite Martian, rising up to a technical director job, and Cinesite for Practical Magic. While reluctant at the requirement of moving to New Zealand, Butler was convinced by his writer-actor brother to jump at the opportunity of working for Weta Digital in The Lord of the Rings. Among his achievements was working on the creation of Gollum. for which he was awarded a Visual Effects Society Award.
Paul J. Franklin is an English visual effects supervisor who has worked with visual effects since the 1990s. Franklin won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects and the BAFTA Award for Best Special Visual Effects for Inception (2010), and won a second Academy Award for Best Visual Effects for Interstellar (2014). He shared the wins with Andrew Lockley, Peter Bebb, and Chris Corbould. Franklin has also been nominated for an Academy Award for The Dark Knight (2008). He was nominated for BAFTA Awards for Batman Begins, The Dark Knight (2008), and The Dark Knight Rises (2012).
