A people mover or automated people mover (APM) is a type of small scale automated guideway transit system. The term is generally used only to describe systems serving relatively small areas such as airports, downtown districts or theme parks.
The Detroit People Mover (DPM) is a 2.94-mile (4.73 km) elevated automated people mover system in Detroit, Michigan, United States. The system operates in a one-way loop on a single track encircling downtown Detroit, using Intermediate Capacity Transit System linear induction motor technology developed by the Urban Transportation Development Corporation. In 2022, the system had a ridership of 364,300, or about 1,900 per weekday as of the third quarter of 2023.

The Millender Center is a mixed-use complex in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The complex spans two city blocks, containing a retail atrium, Detroit People Mover station, and parking garage on its first seven floors, plus the 33-floor Renaissance City Club Apartments and a 20-floor Courtyard by Marriott hotel. Developed by Forest City Enterprises and completed in 1985, the Millender Center is now owned by General Motors, and integrated with GM's Renaissance Center complex across the street.

Baltimore Street station, in the median of Woodward Avenue, serves streetcars to Midtown and Downtown. It is located at the southwest corner of Woodward and West Baltimore Avenues. Amtrak's Wolverine line serves an elevated platform at the main building.

Grand Circus Park station is a public transit station in Downtown Detroit, Michigan that services both the Detroit People Mover and the QLine. The station takes its name from the adjacent Grand Circus Park. It is also the terminus of the D2A2 commuter bus to Ann Arbor, and serves as a transfer point to SMART's FAST Michigan and Woodward express bus lines.

Financial District is located across the street from the Buhl Building, home to the headquarters of the Detroit Transportation Corporation and SMART. It is also the nearest station to Hart Plaza, One Woodward Avenue, and the Penobscot and Guardian buildings.
West Riverfront station is a Detroit People Mover station in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located on Steve Yzerman Drive across from the former site of the Joe Louis Arena, near the intersection of 3rd Street and Jefferson Avenue, where M-10 terminates.
Huntington Place station is a Detroit People Mover station in downtown Detroit, Michigan. It is located inside the Huntington Place convention center, formerly known as Cobo Center and later as TCF Center, on the third floor near Congress Street. The track was originally built out in the open, and later enclosed by Cobo Center's late 1980s expansion. The station opened as an infill station on November 14, 1988, as the last of the system's thirteen stations to open. The track passes above the main convention hall, so passing trains can be heard from portions of the convention floor.

SEMTA Commuter Rail, also known as the Silver Streak, was a commuter train operated by the Southeastern Michigan Transportation Authority (SEMTA) and the Grand Trunk Western Railroad between Detroit and Pontiac, Michigan. It began in 1974 when SEMTA assumed control of the Grand Trunk's existing commuter trains over the route. SEMTA discontinued operations in 1983. Amtrak began offering intercity service between Detroit and Pontiac in 1994 as part of its Michigan Services.
The Rosa Parks Transit Center is the main local bus station in Detroit, Michigan serving as the central hub for the Detroit Department of Transportation (DDOT) bus system. The station was built on the site of Times Square in the west end of Downtown Detroit.
