The Miss Ohio World competition, also referred to as Miss World America Ohio, is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for Ohio in the Miss World America pageant. [1] [2]

Miss USA is an American beauty pageant that has been held annually since 1952 to select the entrant from United States in the Miss Universe pageant. The Miss Universe Organization operated both pageants, as well as Miss Teen USA, until 2020, when the organization announced it was licensing operation of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants to Crystle Stewart, Miss USA for 2008.

Shandi Finnessey American model (born 1978)

Shandi Ren Finnessey is an American actress, model, TV host and beauty queen. She is best known for winning the Miss USA title, as Miss Missouri USA. She previously held the title of Miss Missouri 2002 and competed in Miss America, where she won a preliminary award. She placed as first runner-up at the Miss Universe 2004 competition. She is one of three women to have been both Miss Missouri USA and Miss Missouri and the only Missourian to have been Miss USA. Her first runner-up finish at Miss Universe was the best placement in the 2000s and was the best United States placement between Brook Mahealani Lee's Miss Universe 1997 competition victory and Olivia Culpo's Miss Universe 2012 pageant win.

The Miss Indiana USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Indiana in the Miss USA pageant and the name of the title held by those representatives. This pageant is currently produced by CROWN MOXIE, the team of JScot Reid and Miss Indiana USA 2008 Brittany Mason, who also direct Miss Universe Ireland. It was formerly produced by Sanders & Associates based in Buckhannon, West Virginia.

The Miss Ohio USA competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Ohio in the Miss USA pageant, and the name of the title held by that winner. It has previously been known as Miss Ohio Universe. It is produced by Proctor Productions.

The Miss Alabama competition is the pageant that selects the representative for the state of Alabama in the annual Miss America Competition.

Miss Ohio Beauty pageant competition

The Miss Ohio Scholarship Program selects the representative for the U.S. state of Ohio to compete for the title of Miss America. The pageant is held annually, during the "Miss Ohio Festival" week, at the historic 1,600 seat Renaissance Theatre in Mansfield.

The most frequently presented Miss America awards are for preliminary talent and swimsuit. The talent award was introduced in 1936, and the swimsuit award in 1940. In the 2000s, preliminary awards for evening gown and interview were briefly introduced but were discontinued after two years as it was felt that they made the semi-finalists too predictable.

Miss U.S. International is the official United States preliminary to the Miss International Beauty Pageant. The United States has sent a representative to the Miss International pageant since its inception in 1960. The only year a representative was not sent was in 2006.

Miss World USA 1975 was the 14th edition of the Miss World USA pageant and it was held in Springfield, Massachusetts and was won by Annelise Ilschenko of Ohio. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Terry Browning of Florida. Ilschenko went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 1975 Pageant in London later that year. She did not place at Miss World.

Miss United States 1961, also referred to as Miss World USA 1961, was the 4th edition of the Miss United States World pageant and it was held at Carnegie Hall in New York City, New York and was won by Jo Ann Odum of West Virginia. She was crowned by outgoing titleholder, Judith Ann Achter of Missouri. Odum went on to represent the United States at the Miss World 1961 Pageant in London later that year. She finished in the Top 7 at Miss World.

The Miss Hawaii World competition is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for the state of Hawaii in the Miss World America pageant.

The Miss Florida World competition is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for the state of Florida in the Miss World America pageant.

The Miss Arizona World competition is a beauty pageant that selects the representative for Arizona in the Miss World America pageant.
