Miss South Africa 2018 was the 60th edition of Miss South Africa. It was held on 27 May 2018 at the Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria. It was simulcasted as a live broadcast on M-Net and Mzansi Magic, and was hosted by Bonang Matheba. [1] For the first time, two separate delegates were selected to represent South Africa at Miss World and Miss Universe, but only one was crowned Miss South Africa.

Twenty eight semi-finalists from different provinces were selected from the 491 women who entered, but only twelve finalists were chosen to compete for the crown. During the live telecast, the Top 12 was narrowed to a Top 5 and then a Top 2. The Top 2 were awarded separate titles, Miss Universe South Africa, won by Tamaryn Green, and Miss World South Africa, won by Thulisa Keyi. Green went on to be crowned Miss South Africa 2018 by her predecessor Adè van Heerden of Western Cape. Green represented South Africa at Miss Universe 2018 where she placed as First Runner-up. Keyi represented South Africa at Miss World 2018, placing in the Top 30.

The Miss South Africa is a national beauty pageant in South Africa that selects South African representatives to compete in one of the Big Four international beauty pageants Miss Universe, and also selects another representative to participate in Sub-major international pageant Miss Supranational. The Miss South Africa organisation resorted to a contemporary format in selecting representatives which was inaugurated in 2018. Following their newer method, both a Miss World South Africa and a Miss Universe South Africa were selected as representatives. From 2021 onwards, the winner of Miss South Africa will be competing in Miss Universe, and Miss Supranational. The current Miss South Africa 2023 is Natasha Joubert. On May 11, 2023, the Miss South Africa Organisation has lost its license as a Miss World licensee holder to Carol Bouwer Productions, which has taken over the license of Miss World South Africa pageant.

The Miss Universe Kosova is a national beauty pageant that sends representatives from Kosovo to the Miss Universe pageant.

Tatum Keshwar is a South African fashion model, psychologist and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss South Africa 2008. She represented South Africa at Miss Universe 2009 and placed in the top 10. Keshwar also represented South Africa at Miss World 2009 and placed second runner-up.

Tamaryn Nxumalo is a South African beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss South Africa 2018. She represented South Africa in the Miss Universe 2018 competition and placed as the first runner-up.

It was held at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Indoor Stadium, Mumbai on June 15, 2019, and was hosted by Karan Johar, Manish Paul and Miss World 2017, Manushi Chhillar. At the end of the event, Anukreethy Vas of Tamil Nadu crowned Suman Rao of Rajasthan as her successor. She represented India at Miss World 2019 in London and placed 2nd Runner Up.

Miss South Africa 2019 was the 61st edition of the Miss South Africa pageant. It was held on 9 August 2019 at Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, Gauteng. Tamaryn Green of Western Cape crowned her successor Zozibini Tunzi of Eastern Cape at the end of the event. Tunzi represented South Africa in Miss Universe 2019 and was crowned Miss Universe while 1st Runner-Up Sasha-Lee Olivier represented the country in Miss World 2019. Olivier assumed the title of Miss South Africa 2019 due to Tunzi winning the Miss Universe title.

Zozibini Tunzi, also known as Zozi Tunzi, is a South African model, actress and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 2019. Tunzi had previously been crowned Miss South Africa 2019. She is the third woman from South Africa and the first black South African woman to win the title.

Miss South Africa 2021 was the 63rd edition of the Miss South Africa pageant. It was held on 16 October 2021 at the Grand West Arena, Cape Town. Shudufhadzo Musida crowned Lalela Mswane as her successor at the end of the event. She went on to represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2021 and Miss Supranational 2022. She finished as second-runner up at Miss Universe 2021 and was later crowned as Miss Supranational 2022.

Miss South Africa 2023 was the 65th edition of the Miss South Africa pageant, held on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria. Ndavi Nokeri of Limpopo crowned Natasha Joubert of Gauteng as her successor at the end of the event.
