Miss South Africa 2023 was the 65th edition of the Miss South Africa pageant, held at the SunBet Arena in Pretoria, South Africa, on 13 August 2023.
Ndavi Nokeri of Limpopo crowned Natasha Joubert of Gauteng as her successor at the end of the event. Joubert had previously represented South Africa at Miss Universe 2020 so her first runner-up Bryoni Govender represented the country at Miss Universe 2023. [1]

Starting this year, the top 12 delegates participated in a reality show called Crown Chasers, where they competed in challenges reflecting the Miss South Africa values. Each week, one contestant was eliminated, wherein in the end, only seven contestants participated in the final show.
The official Top 12 finalists who would participate in Crown Chasers were announced on 8 June. [2] During the show, Lebohang Raputsoe, Lungo Katete, Ané Oosthuysen, and Keaoleboga Nkashe were eliminated, while Levern José withdrew from the competition amidst bullying allegations which resurfaced from former classmates on Twitter. [3] The seven finalists advanced to the televised Miss South Africa 2023 final were revealed on 6 August. [4]

Wendy Marcelle Fitzwilliam is a Trinidadian lawyer, actress, model, singer, tv host and beauty queen who won Miss Trinidad and Tobago Universe 1998 and became the second Miss Universe in history from Trinidad and Tobago. Miss Universe 1998 is also the third woman of African heritage to win the beauty pageant.
Miss Earth 2007, the seventh edition of the Miss Earth pageant, was held on November 12, 2007 at the University of the Philippines Theater, on campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman in Quezon City, Philippines. 88 delegates competed for the title, making 2007 the largest edition of delegates for Miss Earth. The pageant was hosted by MTV Asia VJ Utt Panichkul, Priscilla Meirelles and Ginger Conejero. Hil Hernández from Chile crowned her successor Jessica Trisko from Canada the end of the event.
Miss South Africa is a national beauty pageant in South Africa that selects South African representatives to compete in one of the Big Four international beauty pageants Miss Universe, and also selects another representative to participate in Sub-major international pageant Miss Supranational. The Miss South Africa organisation resorted to a contemporary format in selecting representatives which was inaugurated in 2018. Following their newer method, both a Miss World South Africa and a Miss Universe South Africa were selected as representatives. From 2021 onwards, the winner of Miss South Africa will be competing in Miss Universe, and Miss Supranational. The current Miss South Africa 2024 is Mia le Roux. On May 11, 2023, the Miss South Africa Organisation has lost its license as a Miss World licensee holder to Carol Bouwer Productions, which has taken over the license of Miss World South Africa pageant.
Nuestra Belleza Latina 2008 was the second season of Nuestra Belleza Latina, which premiered in February 2008 on Univision. Auditions were once again held in five major U.S. cities and in San Juan, Puerto Rico. During the audition process, 75 young women were given passes to the semifinals in Miami, Florida. The elimination process was quick, with 15 women leaving the first week, 40 in the second week, and finally, on March 28, 2008, eight women were eliminated leaving the 12 finalists who moved into a Miami mansion, where they lived for the rest of the competition.
Idols South Africa II was the second season of South African reality interactive talent show based on the British talent show Pop Idol. It was aired from June 2003, exactly one year after the first season ended, to October of the same year. With Colin Moss and Letoya Makhene new hosts were introduced and half of the judging panel was replaced as Mara Louw and Gareth Cliff replaced Penny Lebyane and Marcus Brewster.
Bokang Montjane is a South African model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss South Africa 2010, becoming the official representative of her country to the Miss Universe 2011 and Miss World 2011 pageants. She also participated in Miss International 2009 and placed in the Top 16 at Miss Earth 2007, finished as one of the Top 7 finalists and named Miss World Africa at Miss World 2011.
The Miss Haiti or Miss Haiti Univers is a national Beauty pageant in Haiti. The pageant was founded in 1920, where the winners were sent to Miss Universe.
Miss South Africa 2011 was held on 11 December 2011 in Sun City, South Africa. The winner represented South Africa at Miss Universe 2012 and Miss World 2011. 12 contestants competed for the crown. Melinda Bam was crowned Miss South Africa 2011 by the outgoing title holder Bokang Montjane from Johannesburg.
Miss Maurice is a national Beauty pageant in Mauritius under Éstrella Mauritius Organization. The pageant was founded in 2016, where the winners were sent to Miss Universe.
Miss South Africa 2010 was held on 12 December 2010 in Sun City, South Africa. The winner will represent South Africa at Miss Universe 2011 and Miss World 2011. Twelve contestants competed for the crown. Bokang Montjane was crowned Miss South Africa 2010 by the outgoing title holder Nicole Flint from Pretoria.
Miss International 2019, the 59th Miss International pageant, was held on November 12, 2019, at Tokyo Dome City Hall in Bunkyo district Tokyo, Japan. Mariem Velazco of Venezuela crowned her successor Sireethorn Leearamwat of Thailand at the end of the event.
Miss South Africa 2019 was the 61st edition of the Miss South Africa pageant. It was held on 9 August 2019 at Sun Arena at Time Square in Pretoria, Gauteng. Tamaryn Green of Western Cape crowned her successor Zozibini Tunzi of Eastern Cape at the end of the event. Tunzi represented South Africa in Miss Universe 2019 and was crowned Miss Universe while 1st Runner-Up Sasha-Lee Olivier represented the country in Miss World 2019. Olivier assumed the title of Miss South Africa 2019 due to Tunzi winning the Miss Universe title.
Zozibini Tunzi, also known as Zozi Tunzi, is a South African model, actress, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 2019. Tunzi had previously been crowned Miss South Africa 2019. She is the third woman from South Africa and the first black South African woman to win the title.
