Moonlighting: the Television Soundtrack Album is the soundtrack to the ABC television series Moonlighting and was produced by Phil Ramone and Glenn Gordon Caron.

Background

The album features songs performed on the show by series leads Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis, alongside the series theme song performed by Al Jarreau - which was the later Nile Rodgers-produced version used in Seasons 4 and 5. That single peaked at number one on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart on July 25, 1987. [2] Other songs include Chubby Checker's "Limbo Rock", The Isley Brothers's "This Old Heart of Mine (Is Weak for You)", and "When a Man Loves a Woman" by Percy Sledge.

"Moonlighting" is the theme song to the ABC comedy-crime drama of the same name, which ran from 1985 to 1989 and starred Bruce Willis and Cybill Shepherd. The theme song was performed by Al Jarreau, who wrote the song with Lee Holdridge. Jarreau recorded two complete recordings of the song, both of which were used for the series.

"Gonna Get This" is a pop song by American singer-songwriter and actress Miley Cyrus, performing as Hannah Montana – the alter ego of Miley Stewart – a character she plays on the Disney Channel television series Hannah Montana and R&B singer Iyaz. The song was later released on October 5, 2010 as the third single from the soundtrack of the same title as the special title of the fourth and final season of the series.
