Morea Baru (born 15 April 1990) [1] is a Papua New Guinean Olympic weightlifter. He competed at three Summer Olympics achieving the best result of fifth place in 2024 in Paris, France.
He competed at the 2016 Oceania Weightlifting Championship in Suva, Fiji and won with a total lift of 283 kg. [2] Baru also participated at the Australian International Open in March 2016 and also took top honours with a total of 291 kg. [3] He competed at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and finished fourth. [4] [5]
Baru finished in top ten for three times at the Olympics. He was sixth in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, tenth in 2021 in Tokyo and fifth in 2024 in Paris. He is also a nine-time Oceania champion.

Edward James Dawkins is a New Zealand track cyclist. At the 2010 Commonwealth Games he won the silver medal in the men's sprint and the bronze medal in the men's 1 kilometre time trial. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games, he won the bronze medal in the men's sprint, and was part of the New Zealand time that won the gold medal in the team sprint, with Ethan Mitchell and Sam Webster. The team sprint team set two Commonwealth Games records along the way. At the 2016 Rio Olympics, he won alongside Sam Webster and Ethan Mitchell a silver medal in the team sprint, but did not go beyond the round 1 repechage in the individual sprint.

Apolonia Vaivai is a Fijian weightlifter. She competed in the women's 75 kg event at the 2014 Commonwealth Games where she won a bronze medal. In 2016, she won gold at the Oceania Weightlifting Championships in the 69 kg event. Vaivai won another bronze medal in the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
Elson Viney-Bartel Brechtefeld is a Nauruan weightlifter who won a bronze medal in the 69 kg category at the 2013 Pacific Mini Games. He moved down to the 62 kg division in the following year, placing 13th at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, and later competed in the 56 kg category, qualifying for the 2016 Summer Olympics.
