The Districts of Ghana are second-level administrative subdivisions of Ghana, below the level of region. There are 261 local metropolitan, municipal and district assemblies.
Nadowli District is a former district that was located in Upper West Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988. However on 28 June 2012, it was split off into two new districts: Nadowli-Kaleo District and Daffiama-Bussie-Issa District. The district assembly was located in the western part of Upper West Region and had Nadowli as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Dormaa District on 10 March 1989; until the southwest part of the district was split off to create Dormaa West District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part was later elevated to municipal district assembly status and has been renamed as Dormaa Central Municipal District. The district assembly is located in the western part of Bono Region and has Nkrankwanta as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Sene District on 10 March 1989, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create Sene East District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Sene West District. Upper West Akim District is one of the thirty-three districts in Eastern Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Kwaebibirem District in 1988, which was created from the former West Akim District Council. However on 6 February 2012, the southern part of the district was split off to create Denkyembour District; thus the remaining part has been retained as Kwaebibirem District, which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 15 March 2018 to become Kwaebibirem Municipal District. The district assembly is located in the southern part of Eastern Region and has Akwatia as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger West Akim District in 1988, which was created from the former West Akim District Council, which it was elevated to municipal district assembly status on 1 November 2007 to become West Akim Municipal District. However on 28 June 2012, the southern part of the district was split off to create Upper West Akim District; thus the remaining part has been retained as West Akim Municipal District. The district assembly is located in the southern part of Eastern Region and has Adeiso as its capital town. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Bawku Municipal District in 1988; until two parts of the district were later split off to create Binduri District and Pusiga District respectively on 28 June 2012. The district assembly is located in the eastern part of Upper East Region and has Binduri as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Lawra/Nandom District in 1988; until the northern part of the district was later split off to create Nandom District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Lawra District. However on 27 January 2020, it was elevated to municipal district assembly status to become Nandom Municipal District. The municipality is located in the northwest part of Upper West Region and has Nandom as its capital town.
Juaboso District is one of the nine districts in Western North Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Juaboso-Bodi District on August 2004, which was created from the former Sefwi-Bibiani District Council, until the southeast part of the district was split off to create Bodi District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Juaboso District. The district assembly is located in the northwest part of Western North Region and has Juaboso as its capital town.
Wassa Amenfi Central District is one of the fourteen districts in Western Region, Ghana. Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Wassa Amenfi West District on August 2004, which was created from the former Aowin-Amenfi District Council, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create Wassa Amenfi Central District on 28 June 2012; thus the remaining part has been renamed as Wassa Amenfi West District. The district assembly is located in the northern part of Western Region and has Manso Amenfi as its capital town.

Originally it was formerly part of the then-larger Ga West District in 2004, until the eastern part of the district was split off to create Ga North Municipal District on 15 March 2018, which was supported by Legislative Instrument (L.I.) 2314; thus the remaining part has been retained as Ga West Municipal District. The municipality is located in the western part of Greater Accra Region and has Ofankor as its capital town.
The N12 or National Highway 12 is a national highway in Ghana that begins at the Ghana - Côte d'Ivoire border in the Western Region of Ghana and travels generally north to Hamile on the Ghana - Burkina Faso border. Its total length is 670 kilometres.
