Neil Francis Costa is a Gibraltarian barrister and politician affiliated to the Liberal Party of Gibraltar (LPG). In December 2011 he was elected an MP to the Gibraltar Parliament and was elected Minister for Tourism,Public Transport,Commercial Affairs and the Port. After the Ministerial reshuffle of December 2014,he became Minister for Business and Employment. In October 2016,he was appointed Minister for Health,Care and Justice. [1] In October 2019,Costa confirmed his decision that he would not seek re-election and returned to work as a barrister.
Costa was born in Gibraltar into a working-class family. He grew up in the government flat which his parents shared with his grandparents and other family members. His father was a stonemason and his mother a cashier at supermarket. He stood out when he obtained three A grades,two with Distinction,at A-level at Bayside Comprehensive School. He went on to study law and Spanish at the University of Wales in Cardiff where he graduated with honours. Costa completed his law studies at the Inns of Court School of Law in London,was admitted to the bar in London in November 2002 and to the Gibraltar bar in January 2003. [2] In 2016,Costa embarked on an LL.M. in Law from the University of Edinburgh,obtaining a Distinction in October 2019.
Costa has been involved in the politics of Gibraltar since his student days,and he joined the Liberal Party of Gibraltar in 1999. In 2007,he was elected to Parliament and became Shadow Minister for Health and Social Services. In 2011,along with Dr. Joseph Garcia and Steven Linares,formed the group of LPG candidates who stood in alliance with the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party (GSLP) to contest the 2011 general elections. Re-elected to parliament in 2011,this time in government,Costa was appointed by Chief Minister Fabian Picardo as Minister for Tourism,Public Transport,Commercial Affairs and the Port. [4]
After the Ministerial reshuffle in December 2014,Costa was appointed Minister for Business and Employment. [5] In October 2016,he was appointed Minister for Health,Care and Justice. [1]
In September 2019,Costa announced that he would not stand in the 2019 Gibraltar general election. [6] After the election he resumed his legal career. [7]
In November 2021,Costa graduated from Oxford University,New College,with Distinction in his Master of Studies in International Human Rights Law. Neil was awarded the Morris Prize for the highest overall grade for the year and for the highest grade in the dissertation.
Dr Joseph John Andrew Garcia is a Gibraltarian historian and politician,and the current leader of the Liberal Party of Gibraltar (LPG) and Deputy Chief Minister of the Government of Gibraltar. The LPG holds two of the 17 seats in the Gibraltar Parliament after the 2023 general election and is in government with its political allies,the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party (GSLP).

General elections were held in Gibraltar on 11 October 2007. The incumbent Chief Minister Peter Caruana narrowly won a fourth term,but opposition leader Joe Bossano had a very strong showing. Joe Bossano noted that this would be his last term as an MP,and joked that he would not join the government,despite receiving a higher personal vote than some members of the Gibraltar Social Democrats (GSD).

Fabian Raymond Picardo is a Gibraltarian politician and barrister,serving as Chief Minister of Gibraltar and Leader of the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party since 2011. At the 2015 and 2019 Gibraltar general elections,Picardo was re-elected to two further four-year terms. He was narrowly re-elected for a fourth term in the 2023 Gibraltar general election.

The Hon. Steven Ernest Linares is a Gibraltarian teacher,trade unionist,barrister and former politician affiliated to the Liberal Party of Gibraltar (LPG). He was an MP at the Gibraltar Parliament and as of December 2011 formed part of the Government of Gibraltar as Minister for Sport,Culture,Heritage,Youth,Utilities,Refuse Collection,Fire Service,Civil Contingencies and Postal Services. Since June 2021,Linares was the Minister for Housing,Employment,Youth and Sport. On 19 September 2023,it was announced that he would not stand for re-election,ending his 23 year career as MP and 12 years as Minister. He has been replaced as the third Gibraltar Liberal Party candidate by Leslie Bruzon,whom he became his election agent at the fiercely contested but successful elections.
Albert Joseph Isola is a Gibraltarian barrister and former politician,member of the Gibraltar Socialist Labour Party (GSLP). He was a member of the Gibraltar House of Assembly as part of the Opposition between 1996 and 2000. He later became a Government Minister for Financial Services and Gaming after becoming elected to Parliament in the 2013 by-election. Isola is married and has four children. On 15 September 2023,it was announced that he and fellow party MPs and Ministers,Paul Balban and Samantha Sacramento,would not stand for re-election.
General elections were held in Gibraltar on 26 November 2015 to elect all 17 members to the third Gibraltar Parliament. Chief Minister Fabian Picardo announced the date of the election on Monday 19 October 2015 during a speech on the Gibraltar Broadcasting Corporation.

The second Morrison ministry succeeded the first Morrison ministry following the 2019 Australian federal election. The ministry was announced on 26 May 2019 and was sworn in on 29 May. Following the Coalition's defeat at the 2022 election,the ministry was succeeded by the Albanese ministry on 23 May 2022.
