As of the census [2] of 2000, there were 290 people, 84 households, and 58 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 12.6 people per square mile (4.8/km2). There were 102 housing units at an average density of 4.4/sq mi (1.7/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 6.55% White, 92.07% Native American, 0.69% from other races, and 0.69% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.76% of the population.
There were 84 households, out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 36.9% were married couples living together, 25.0% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.8% were non-families. 27.4% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.45 and the average family size was 4.22.
