He was the NDP critic for Democratic Reform as well as Ethics, and deputy critic for Finance in the 42nd Parliament.

Jenny Kwan Hong Kong born Canadian politician

Jenny Wai Ching Kwan is a Hong Kong-born Canadian politician. She was a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of British Columbia for the riding of Vancouver-Mount Pleasant, and a senior member of the provincial caucus of the New Democratic Party. After serving for 20 years in the provincial legislative assembly, she was elected to the House of Commons of Canada in the 2015 election, representing Vancouver East.

Siobhán Coady

Siobhán Coady is a Canadian businesswoman and politician from Newfoundland and Labrador. She represents the riding of St. John's West in the Newfoundland and Labrador House of Assembly as a Liberal. Peggy A. Nash is a Canadian labour official and politician from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She was the New Democratic Party (NDP) Member of Parliament (MP) for the Parkdale—High Park electoral district (riding) in Toronto, and was the Official Opposition's Industry Critic. Before becoming a parliamentarian, she worked as a labour official at the Canadian Auto Workers union (CAW).

40th Canadian Parliament

The 40th Canadian Parliament was in session from November 18, 2008 to March 26, 2011. It was the last Parliament of the longest-running minority government in Canadian history that began with the previous Parliament. The membership of its House of Commons was determined by the results of the 2008 federal election held on October 14, 2008. Its first session was then prorogued by the Governor General on December 4, 2008, at the request of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, who was facing a likely no-confidence motion and a coalition agreement between the Liberal party and the New Democratic Party with the support of the Bloc Québécois. Of the 308 MPs elected at the October 14, 2008 general election, 64 were new to Parliament and three sat in Parliaments previous to the 39th: John Duncan, Jack Harris and Roger Pomerleau.

The New Democratic Party is a social democratic federal political party in Canada. The party was founded in 1961 by the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and the Canadian Labour Congress (CLC). On the Canadian political spectrum, the party sits to the left of the Liberal Party. Alice Wong Canadian politician

Alice Wong Chan Siu-ping is a Canadian politician and a member of the Conservative Party who has served as the member of Parliament (MP) for the electoral district of Richmond Centre since 2015. Manon Perreault is a former Canadian politician, who served in the House of Commons of Canada from 2011 until 2015. Following her election, she was named to the NDP's shadow cabinet as critic for people with disabilities. She represented the electoral district of Montcalm as a member of the New Democratic Party until June 6, 2014 when she was suspended from the NDP caucus after being charged with public mischief. She had told police some items had been stolen from her office, when in fact a former employee had the items and voluntarily offered to return them. She was convicted on March 20, 2015. She sat as an Independent until August 12, 2015, when she joined Strength in Democracy as their candidate in Montcalm, but she was soundly defeated in the 2015 federal election by Bloc Québécois candidate Luc Thériault.

Murray Rankin

Murray Rankin is a Canadian politician and environmental and public law expert. Rankin is currently Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia for Oak Bay-Gordon Head. Rankin served as the Member of Parliament for Victoria from 2012 to 2019, with senior roles including NDP House Leader. From 2019 to 2020 Rankin was head of Canada's National Security and Intelligence Review Agency (NSIRA), overseeing all national security and intelligence activities carried out by the Government of Canada.

41st Parliament of Ontario

The 41st Legislative Assembly of Ontario was a legislature of the government of the province of Ontario, Canada. The membership was set by the 2014 Ontario general election. The 41st parliament of Ontario was dissolved on May 8, 2018.
