Lift New Rickstones (LNR) is an academy secondary school in Witham, Essex. It is the larger of the two major comprehensive schools in Witham. It was previously The Rickstones School and New Rickstones Academy. [2]

During 2012 the school moved into a new building, constructed by Carillion. An Ofsted inspection took place on 8 November 2023. The school was rated 'Good', keeping its successive run of 'Good's, received previously in 2013, 2015 and 2018. [3] The school is sponsored by the Lift.
During 2023, the school received a "Good" in its Ofsted report.[ citation needed ]
The school recently opened its brand new 'Simon Gibbs Building', a smaller building with two stories, including humanities and cooking classrooms, as well as a mini food court, named 'Grab and Go', with no seating. The building is known to students as 'A-Block', 'Gibbs-Block' and 'SG'. It was named after the late Simon Gibbs, who was headteacher of New Rickstones Academy, before he was discovered dead in Morillon, France.
