The table below lists Nigerian senators of the 6th National Assembly. The 6th National Assembly (2007 -2011) was inaugurated on 5 June 2007. The Senate includes three senators from each of the 36 states, plus one minister for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Of the 109 Senators, 26 were re-elected while 83 were elected for the first time. David Mark was appointed president of the Senate and Ike Ekweremadu deputy president. [1]

Gyang Dalyop Dantong was a Nigerian senator who represented the People's Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State. He became a member of the Nigerian Senate in 2007. On 12 April 2003, he was elected to the 5th House of Representatives on the platform of the ANPP defeating his closest rival James Vwi of the PDP. He represented Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency from 2003 to 2007. Dantong died on 8 July 2012 while attending a mass funeral of people who had been killed by Fulani herdsmen in Maase area of Riyom local government in Plateau State. The people at the funeral were attacked by gunmen thought to also be Fulani.

Gbemisola Ruqayyah Saraki(Listen) is a Nigerian politician who has served as the Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development of Nigeria since 6 July 2022. She served earlier as the Minister of State for Transportation from 2019 till she was moved by the President to the Ministry of Mines and Steel Development in 2022.

The table below lists Nigerian senators of the 5th National Assembly. The 5th National Assembly was inaugurated on 29 May 2003. The Senate includes three senators from each of the 36 states, plus one senator for the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. Evan Enwerem, who was elected president of the Senate was succeeded by Chuba Okadigbo. Okadigbo was later replaced by Pius Anyim.

Lawali Shuaibu is a Nigerian politician who was elected senator for the Zamfara North Senatorial District of Zamfara State, Nigeria at the start of the Nigerian Fourth Republic, running on the All People's Party (APP) platform. He took office on 29 May 1999. He was re-elected on the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) platform in 2003 to a second term of four years.

Muktar Ahmed Mohammed Aruwa was a Nigerian senator. He was first elected to the senate in 1999 as a representative of Kaduna State for the All People's Party (APP). Aruwa sat on several senate committees and opposed the privatization of public enterprises. He was re-elected in 2003 as a member of the All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP), the successor to the APP. He was involved in a dispute over committee appointments, claiming unfair play by the senate leadership. Aruwa's name was dropped from the ANPP party list for the 2007 election.
